“Pascagoula UFO Incident – New Witnesses”

By Philip Mantle, 28 October 2018
(The UFO Chronicles)

Mantle recaps the 11 October 1973 Pascagoula, Mississippi, UFO incident and reports on Greek UFO researcher Stefanos Panagiotakis’ investigation of the Pascagoula incident.

Panagiotakis’ interview with Pascagoula UFO witness Emmanuel P. Sigalas is presented in the article. Sigalas and two other witnesses saw the UFO a short time before the Charles Hickson/Calvin Parker incident occurred, according to the interview. Sigalas, Raymond Broadus and a woman named Joan were travelling in a car when they sighted the cylindrical shaped UFO. The unknown object chased the car for a while before changing its course and heading towards the area where Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker were fishing.

UFO Article & Radio Interview:
“David Marler – The Battle of LA UFO Incident –
October 9, 2018”

By Alejandro Rojas
(OpenMinds.tv/Open Minds UFO Radio, Tempe, Arizona)

The so-called “Battle of Los Angeles” occurred on 24 and 25 (p.m. into a.m.) February 1942.

Several UFOs were first sighted over Los Angeles, California, on the night of 24 February 1942.

Excerpt from the Wikipedia article, “Battle of Los Angeles”:
“Air raid sirens were sounded throughout Los Angeles County at 2:25 a.m. and a total blackout was ordered. Thousands of air raid wardens were summoned to their positions. At 3:16 a.m. on February 25, the 37th Coast Artillery Brigade began firing 12.8-pound anti-aircraft shells into the air at the object(s); over 1400 shells would eventually be fired [1]. Pilots of the 4th Interceptor Command were alerted but their aircraft remained grounded. The artillery fire continued sporadically until 4:14 a.m. The objects were said to have taken about 20 minutes to have moved from over Santa Monica to above Long Beach. The ‘all clear’ was sounded and the blackout order lifted at 7:21 a.m.”

It was the contemporary news agencies who named the UFO incident, The Battle of Los Angeles.

The interview starts at 25 minutes.

UFO News Article:
“Official Denials Seen Strange on Reports Of ‘Flying Saucers’ - None Outside Air Force Allowed to Check and Analyze Observations”

6 April 1950
(The Evening Star, Washington, D.C.)

Source: chroniclingamerica.loc.gov

Quote from the article:
“While the Defense Department officially says there are no ‘flying saucers,’ private aeronautical engineers say ‘yes,’ and so does Comdr. Robert McLaughlin, on active duty in the Navy, who  saw one in New Mexico (at White Sands Proving Ground, renamed White Sands Missile Range in 1958) some months ago, where it was tracked by observers with instruments. He wrote a technical description of it in the March issue of the magazine ‘True.’

The strange thing about the official denial from the Defense Department is that it says the reports of unidentified flying objects are the result either of ‘hoaxes’ or ‘hysteria’ or ‘a misinterpretation of various conventional objects.’

But nobody on the outside has been allowed to check up on those reports and analyze them from a technical point of view. It would seem that, if they are of no consequence any more, the Air Force ought to permit their publication in order that competent technicians can form their own conclusions.

Clearly something is lacking to explain what the competent Air Force flyers wrote in reporting their observations of the flying saucers—which reports are reposing in official files and have never been made public.”

UFO News Article:
“U.F.O.?”

22 October 1975
(Star, Gerald, Missouri)

Sources: U.F.O. Newsclipping Service, Seattle, Washington and AFU.se

The whole article (Page 1):
“What is believed to be a U.F.O. (unidentified flying object) was sited over Gerald Saturday (18 October 1975) evening in the northwestern sky just before dark.

The light object had an oblong shape or horseshoe appearance.

Several County Sheriff’s Departments confirmed siting the object in the sky and they also observed the U.F.O. or something which was not a star or moving aircraft.

The above photo was taken by Gerald Star Newspaper and the object was observed through binoculars by newspaper staff members and several area residents.”
