Edward J. Ruppelt was director of Project Blue Book from March 1952 until late 1953. Before that, he was director of Project Grudge from late 1951 until it became Project Blue Book in March 1952.

Project Blue Book ran until January 1970.

Ruppelt achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force.

The book, The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects is Edward J. Ruppelt’s memoir of his role in the U.S. Air Forces’s three UFO projects: Projects Sign, Grudge and Blue Book.

The book was published by Doubleday & Company (Garden City, New York) in 1956.

Ruppelt was director of Project Blue Book from March 1952 until late 1953. Before that, he was director of Project Grudge from late 1951 until it became Project Blue Book in March 1952.

Project Blue Book ran until January 1970.

Ruppelt achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force.
