UK MoD UFO records show that a large, slow moving UFO was sighted over Hartlepool Power Station on 23 March 1993, at 9:15 p.m., according to Peterlee Mail:

Mirarchi (air chemist, U.S. Air Force) said that after studying extensive files of the Office of Strategic Information, covering hundreds of eyewitness reports of flying saucers or ‘fireballs,’ he concluded the observations were consistent with ‘a missile programmed in advance.’ ”

A number of the fireball observations came from the area around Los Alamos National Laboratory, according to Dr. Mirarchi.
