Wikipedia article: “Malmstrom Air Force Base”:

Quote from the Wikipedia article:
“Malmstrom Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base and census-designated place (CDP) in Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana, United States. It was named in honor of World War II POW Colonel Einar Axel Malmstrom. It is the home of the 341st Missile Wing (341 MW) of the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). As a census-designated place, it had a population of 3,472 at the 2010 census.[1]

Malmstrom AFB is one of three US Air Force Bases that maintains and operates the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. The 341st Missile Wing reports directly to Twentieth Air Force at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. It is part of Global Strike Command headquartered at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.[2]”

Wikipedia article: “LGM-30 Minuteman”:

Quote from the Wikipedia article:
“The LGM-30 Minuteman is a U.S. land-based intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), in service with the Air Force Global Strike Command. As of 2016, the LGM-30G Minuteman III version[a] is the only land-based ICBM in service in the United States.

Peaking at 1,000 missiles in the 1970s, the current U.S. force consists of 450 Minuteman-III missiles[3] in missile silos around Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Minot AFB, North Dakota; and F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming. By February 2018 this will be reduced to 400 armed missiles, with 50 unarmed missiles in reserve, and four non-deployed test launchers to comply with the New START treaty.[4] The Air Force plans to keep the missile in service until at least 2030.[5][6] It is one component of the U.S. nuclear triad—the other two parts of the triad being the Trident submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM), and nuclear weapons carried by long-range strategic bombers.”

UFO Video Interview:
“Are UFOs Real?
Listen to These Montana Sheriffs!”

5 September 2016
(Missoulian, Missoula, Montana)

Dr. Richard O’Connor, M.D., and Joan Bird, Ph.D., present an interview with the sheriffs Keith Wolverton and Pete Howard.

Wolverton is co-author of the book, Mystery Stalks the Prairie (together with Roberta Donovan).

YouTube video (source: Richard O’Connor (YouTube channel)): “Are UFOs Real? Listen to These Montana Sheriffs!”

Video text:
“This interview with Montana sheriffs Keith Wolverton and Pete Howard took place on August 3, 2016. We hope the information conveyed in this video will inspire others to realize that the UFOs being seen in our skies are real, and they merit our curiosity and our attention. The importance of their interactions with our nation’s nuclear weapons cannot be overstated. If you have additional information concerning UFOs and nuclear weapons, please contact Mr. Robert Hastings (

If you have additional information about the events described in this video, or other UFO or cattle mutilation events, please contact Dr. Richard O'Connor (

We encourage the American Veterinary Medical Association to ‘get real’ about the scientific investigation of cattle (and other) mutilation events. To date, their treatment of this phenomenon has been sub-standard for a professional organization dedicated to the health care of animals.

Our most sincere thanks to Montana sheriffs Pete Howard and Keith Wolverton for their participation in this interview.

Dr. Richard O'Connor, M.D.
Dr. Joan Bird, PhD”

“The UFO Cover-Up”

Text by Google Books:
“Authors Lawrence Fawcett and Barry J. Greenwood reveal in this fascinating, thought-provoking book, based on the government’s own research and internal files, what they have learned about: UFO’s as a threat to national security. UFO sightings at military bases in the United States, North Africa, and the Middle East. The cover-up role of the FBI and the CIA. The presidents, legislators, astronauts, military leaders, and international scientific authorities who are on record as in favor of renewed investigation of UFO’s.”

UFO News Article:

14 October 1979
(The New York Times, New York City, New York)

This is an article regarding a U.S. Department of Defense document called “Subject: Suspicious Unknown Air Activity” (classification: CONFIDENTIAL, date: 11 November 1975) and, in addition, discussion on the U.S. government’s involvement in the UFO subject.

The mentioned U.S. Department of Defense document deals with the late 1975 UFO activity over the following military bases: Loring AFB, Maine; Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Minot AFB, North Dakota and Canadian Forces Station, Falconbridge, Ontario, Canada.

I also reported on this news article on 22 December 2011.

The book, The UFO Cover-Up (Fawcett, Greenwood) presents evidence (Page 6) that proves that the National Military Command Center (in conjunction with the Air Force Global Weather Central (AFGWC)) investigated the 1975 Northern Tier (U.S.A. and Canada) UFO incidents. The NMCC sent a memorandum (dated 13 November 1975) to the AFGWC requesting temperature inversion data from sensors which were placed in the areas which had experienced UFO activity. A while later, the NMCC and AFGWC discussed arrangements for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to obtain the weather data, according to the book.

So the U.S. military, without a doubt, investigates certain UFO incidents.

The National Military Command Center is maintained by the Department of the Air Force.

Maintained by the Department of the Air Force as the ‘DoD Executive Agent’ for NMCC logistical, budgetary, facility and systems support;[2] the NMCC operators are in the Joint Staff’s J-3 (Operations) Directorate.[citation needed] ‘The NMCC is responsible for generating Emergency Action Messages (EAMs) to launch control centers, nuclear submarines, recon aircraft and battlefield commanders.’[1]”

“Item 2.94: FOIA Request to DOD’s National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (re Wikileaks’s Leakage of a UFO-related Cable from State Dept.)”

23 January 2011
(Larry W. Bryant’s UFOview, Newport News, Virginia)

The U.S. Department of State document (dated 9 November 2005) read as follows:
“It is critical all embassy staff understand that they are not to discuss under any circumstance concerns DOD [U. S. Department of Defense] has with UFOs entering orbit, once again the seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated.”

The document was apparently sent to a diplomat that worked at the U.S. embassy in Kiev, Ukraine.

Ground Saucer Watch (GSW), a Phoenix, Arizona, organisation, used the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to get the U.S. government to release UFO documents. GSW managed to get hold of many important UFO documents through the organisation’s lawsuits against the government. The lawsuits were handled by lawyer Peter Gersten, according to the book, The UFO Cover-Up (written by Lawrence A. Fawcett and Barry J. Greenwood).

The brothers William H. and J. A. Spaulding founded Ground Saucer Watch in 1957.

UFO News Article:

2 December 1896
(San Francisco Call, California)

Source: California Digital Newspaper Collection (

The article reports on two 1896 Oakland, California, UFO sightings. The unknown objects (or the same object) (described by the journalist as “the strange aerial navigator”) was sighted by Case Gilson, Gilson’s friends and Percy Drew.

Quote from the article:
“ ‘The airship was moving very rapidly from the southeast toward Lorin, and not a light was visible,’ said Gilson. ‘It was about 1000 or 1500 feet in the air and looked like a great black cigar with a fish-like tail. If it had side propellers they were revolving so rapidly that I could not see them. The body was at least a hundred feet long, and attached to it was a triangular tail, one apex being attached to the main body. The surface of the airship looked as if it were made of aluminum, which exposure to wind and weather had turned dark. I saw all this distinctly, and I am willing to take any oath to the truth of what I say.’

‘The airship went at a tremendous speed. As it neared Lorin it turned quickly and disappeared in the direction of San Francisco. At half-past 8 we saw it again, when it took about the same direction and disappeared. ‘It was an airship; of that I am convinced.’

Gilson and his friends saw the airship twice during last Thursday (26 November 1896) evening at 8 and 8:30 o’clock. The skies were perfectly clear, and a strong northwest wind was blowing. The airship was moving rapidly from the southeast toward the north in the teeth of the wind. No light was visible, merely the weird, peculiar body silhoueted against the clear skies. Case Gilson, his brother, and the Petan brothers distinctly saw the strange sight, and Gilson describes its appearance very graphically.

Gilson is also an amateur astronomer and declares that he could not mistake a star or a cloud for an airship.

Percy Drew was another individual favored with a glimpse of the airship. He says it visited Oakland Saturday (28 November 1896) night. It then carried a red light and moved with its usual quickness. Both young men agree that the ship was of enormous size, measuring at least 100 feet in length.”
