UFO Report:
“The 1995 UFO Chronology”

Released: 15 February 2008
Updated: 16 March 2017
(NICAP.org)

Quote from the UFO report:
“This is currently a 9-page chronology of UFO incidents and events for 1995. Our thanks for these chronologies must go to Richard Hall (the original 1995 chronology from UFOE II), Dan Wilson (archive researcher), and Jean Waskiewicz (online NICAP DBase [NSID]. You will note the many foreign reports that we are now being able to access. Our special thanks to Dan Wilson for getting those to us. As more come in, this page will be updated. Previous chronologies (1947 to 1969) involved the expertise of two other team members; Rebecca Wise (Project Blue Book Archive) and Brad Sparks (Comprehensive Catalog of Project Blue Book Unknowns). Bob Gribble’s entries are those filed with the National UFO Reporting Center in Seattle, Washington, now operated by Peter Davenport. Trace cases are now being entered with the help of Ted Phillips, Center for Physical Trace Research and retrofitted into previous chronologies as time permits. Since I was Indiana State Director (MUFON) at that time, some of our Indiana cases are listed here.

Several VERY good UFO reports (May 25, Bovina, TX has audio transmissions) in this group, and the GAO (General Accounting Office) report on the Air Force Roswell investigation was released in July.

UFO Documentary Film (1995) Segment:
UFO Sighted by Police Officer, West of Stord, Norway,
25 July 1995, 11:00 p.m.
(TV 2, Bergen, Norway)

Egil Espeland is a Stord (island) police officer. It was during a fishing trip west of Stord that Espeland and his brother-in-law sighted the UFO.

Statement by Egil Espeland: “The elliptical shaped UFO was black-grey in colour. The UFO flew in a descending path – while it flipped two times from side to side. The UFO then levelled off at the same moment it started to accelerate and flew away in a horizontal path. The sighting lasted 3 seconds.”

The UFO was circa 40 metres long; and according to Espeland, he had never seen anything like it before.

The TV 2 report contains a drawing of the UFO made by Egil Espeland.

The Stord UFO report starts at 5:32:

Stord is situated 28 kilometres (17 miles) north east of Espevær. Espevær (island) is famous for its UFO ring.

The Hessdalen (Norway) UFO phenomenon:
A team of physicists determined some time ago that the Hessdalen UFO phenomenon (the report starts 3:08 minutes into the video) is a natural phenomenon. Clouds of dust from the valley floor which contain scandium are the source of the atmospheric light phenomenon.

UFO Article (Blog):
“NORAD And The UFO Smokescreen – Part 9”

By Paul Dean, 10 July 2016
(UFOs – Documenting The Evidence, Melbourne, Australia)

Quote from the article:
“In Part 6, Part 7 and Part 8 of my ‘NORAD and the UFO Smokescreen’ series, I discussed the possibility that the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD), as well as other commands and their space components, may have detected and tracked UFO’s outside Earth’s atmosphere. I discussed NORAD’s early efforts, starting in the 1950’s, and brought us through to the 1990’s and 2000’s, where the old US Space Command (SPACECOM), and then the US Strategic Command (STRATCOM) partially took over space surveillance from NORAD. I have introduced the core topic of ‘Uncorrelated Target’ (UCT) detection and tracking, and highlighted examples of declassified military doctrine that relates to such events. I also presented the work of UFO researchers in years gone by to obtain space object tracking data, and will continue to do so in this entry in the series, plus raise some new topics which are key to understanding NORAD’s role in space, and what it means for UFO research. As I have stated before, I use the term ‘UFO’ to describe unknown and unidentifiable bodies which are above-and-beyond natural and manmade objects.

Veteran UFO researcher Walter Webb, while studying the 1995 American West Airlines Radar-Visual UFO case in New Mexico, asked a number of questions of NORAD in a November 27th letter. Nearly a month later, on the 19th of December, 1995, S. W. Johnson, of NORAD/USSPACECOM Directorate of Public Affairs, replied to Webb. Their letter, in part, stated:

‘NORAD uses the term ‘Unknown Track Report’ (UTR) for events within our atmosphere and the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) uses the term ‘Uncorrelated Events’ for objects in space. UTR’s are considered sensitive and are not releasable to the public. Uncorrelated Event Reports (UERs) are classified SECRET until downgraded by proper authority. The term ‘UFO’ has not been used by this headquarters since the ‘Blue Book’  was permanently closed in 1974.”

UFO Mailing List Post:
“White Sands Missile Range — 50th Reunion”

Sources: Minnesota MUFON, Falcon Heights, Minnesota and AFU.se

Quote from the UFO mailing list post (Page 6):
“19 December 1995
From: Paul Davids, Producer and Writer for the movie ‘Roswell
Via: Terry Colvin

To: Members of UFO-L mailing list

The following talk is of interest because it indicates that most members of a good-sized group of technical/military type personnel are interested and receptive to information regarding the UFO phenomenon.

On July 6th, I was the keynote banquet speaker at the 50th reunion of the White Sands Missile Range Pioneer Group. About 200 people were in attendance, all with military affiliation (of course, spouses were there too) of some kind.

The attendees included those ‘pioneers’ who founded America’s missile and rocketry program out of White Sands, representatives of the Department of Defense, Army, Air Force, Navy, people connected with Los Alamos, Sandia Labs, Lockheed Martin, NASA, private space program development, etc. — including Werner [sic] Von Braun’s brother and the discoverer of Pluto. I was asked to come to speak to this group about the Roswell Incident, UFOs and ETs.”

UFO News Article:
“Utah ranch boasts UFOs,
crop circles, cow mutilations”

5 July 1996 (Kingman Daily Miner, Arizona)

The Kingman Daily Miner informs about the alleged UFO incidents that occurred on the ranch of Terry and Gwen Sherman during 1995 and 1996:

The ranch is located just south of Fort Duchesne, North-Eastern Utah.

Quote from the article:
“ ‘For a long time we wondered what we were seeing, if it was something to do with a top-secret project,’ said Terry Sherman, ‘I don’t know really what to think about it.’

The Shermans and their son and daughter say they have seen three types of UFOs repeatedly during the past 15 months – a small boxlike craft about 8 feet long, a 40-foot-long object and a ship the size of several football fields.

They say one craft emits a wavy red ray or light beam as it flies along.

The Shermans said they videotaped two sightings.

They said they once discovered three circles of flattened grass, each about 8 feet across, in a triangular pattern about 30 feet from each other. In a nearby pasture, other strange soil impressions have been found – circles about 3 feet wide and a foot or 2 deep with the dirt in the center perfectly flattened, they said.”

UFO News Article:
“Belgian Air Force checking out UFOs”

13 July 1990
(Bluefield Daily Telegraph, West Virginia)

Source: NewspaperArchive.com

The whole article:
“This country’s [Air Force] has joined scores of Belgians befuddled by hundreds of UFO sightings across night skies in recent months.

In the latest report, two [Air Force] F-16 jet fighters used their radar screens to track an object that, according to a military official, ‘exceeded the limits of conventional aviation.’

Speaking at a news conference Wednesday, Belgian Air Force Col. Wilfried [De] Brouwer said the UFO dived from about 10,000 to 4,000 feet in two seconds. At the same time, it increased its speed from 600 to 1,100 miles an hour.

De Brouwer said the [Air Force] decided to wait before announcing the sighting in the early hours of March 31 [1990] ‘because we wanted to compare the radar sightings by our pilots with observations from radar stations.’ ”

UFO News Article:
“Colorado cow mutilations baffle
ranchers, cops, UFO believer”,
9 December 2009 (The Denver Post, Colorado)

The Denver Post reports on the cattle mutilations that occurred on the ranches of Manual Sanchez, Tom Miller and Mike Duran in 2009:

http://www.denverpost.com/ci_13956752

Manuel Sanchez experienced four cattle mutilations on his ranch. The ranch is situated east of San Luis, Colorado. Sanchez found two mutilated calves on 25 October and two more on 9 and 16 November 2009.

Furthermore, Sanchez says he and his wife marvelled at incandescent blue lights hovering over a ridge near his pastures in July and August 2009.

Tom Miller who runs a ranch east of Trinidad, Colorado found a mutilated calf on 17 March 2009.

Mike Duran’s ranch is situated west of Weston, Colorado. He found one mutilated cow on 8 March 2009. Duran says in the article that some of the cuts on the cow looked like laser cuts.

Tom Miller’s neighbour, Colorado Brand Inspector Dennis Williams, looked at Miller’s mutilated calf. Williams says that to him, it looked like the calf had been dropped from a high distance, because its hips were dislocated and many of the bones were broken.

UFO/animal mutilation researcher Chuck Zukowski ruled out that predators killed any of the cattle. The tongues were sliced off in straight lines back behind the teeth. That indicates that it is not a predator kill, Zukowski says in the article.

No tracks or footprints were found near any of these mutilated cattle, either, according to the article.

All three ranchers have earlier experienced cattle mutilations: Sanchez in 1993 and 2006, Miller in 1980 and 1997 and Duran in 1995 and 2000.
