UFO Report:
“The 1990 UFO Chronology”
Created: 15 September 2008
Updated: 30 May 2017
(NICAP.org)
Quote
from the UFO report:
“This is currently an 11-page chronology of UFO incidents and events for
1990. Our thanks for these chronologies must go to Richard Hall (the original
1990 chronology from UFOE II), Dan Wilson (archive researcher), and Jean
Waskiewicz (online NICAP DBase [NSID]. You will note the many foreign reports
that we are now being able to access. Our special thanks to Dan Wilson for
getting those to us. As more come in, this page will be updated. Previous
chronologies (1947 to 1969) involved the expertise of two other team members;
Rebecca Wise (Project Blue Book Archive) and Brad Sparks (Comprehensive Catalog
of Project Blue Book Unknowns). Bob Gribble’s entries are those filed with the National UFO
Reporting Center
in Seattle , Washington , now operated by Peter Davenport.
Trace cases are now being entered with the help of Ted Phillips, Center for
Physical Trace Research and retrofitted into previous chronologies as time
permits. Since I was Indiana State Director (MUFON) at that time, many of our Indiana cases are listed
here. My file alone was over 3" thick. The computer database shows 69
cases in the region, with 55 of then Indiana
cases. Twenty-one of the total were close encounters.

“Top officer backs UFO ‘plot’ claim”
4 September 1995
(The Press and Journal, Aberdeen ,
UK )
Source: BritishNewspaperArchive.co.uk
The whole article:
“ONE of Britain ’s
highest-ranking military officers is backing a claim that the Government is
concealing evidence of an unidentified flying object.
In a book A Deadly Concealment, to be published next year, author Derek
Sheffield tells how on March 30, 1990, four [NATO] air defence radar stations,
three in Belgium and one in Germany, tracked a fast-moving triangular craft
across Western Europe.
At one stage, it came within six minutes of entering UK airspace, he
claims.
Two F-16 fighters from the Belgian Air Force were scrambled to intercept
the target but could not keep up with it.
Mr Sheffield says the Ministry of Defence denies any knowledge of the
incident despite his claims that British-based tracking stations would
automatically have been alerted.
That view is shared by Admiral of the Fleet Lord Hill-Norton, who
between 1974 and 1977 was the chairman of [NATO’s] military Committee.
Lord Hill-Norton said: ‘The fact is that, if these European tracking
stations detected a UFO, two fighters were sent up to intercept it and it came
to be six minutes from British airspace, there is no doubt in my mind that the
UK air defence organisation would automatically know about it.’ ”

“The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO, /ˈneɪtoʊ/; French: Organisation du traité de l’Atlantique nord, OTAN), also
called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance between 30 North American and European
countries. The organization implements the North Atlantic Treaty that was
signed on 4 April 1949.[3][4] NATO constitutes a system of collective defence
whereby its independent member states agree to mutual defence in response to an
attack by any external party. NATO’s Headquarters are located in Evere, Brussels , Belgium ,
while the headquarters of Allied Command Operations is near Mons , Belgium .”

The report concludes that the Belgian UFO wave
sightings in 1989 and 1990 “can’t be explained in terms of helicopters or other
conventional aircraft.”
Regarding the Ernage UFO case, the report says: “Our conclusion is straight forward: The sighting at Ernage on December 11, 1989 of Lt Col André AMOND and his wife cannot be related to any known aerial vehicle.”

For the past year, citizens in the French-speaking

have experienced an extraordinary UFO wave. Thousands of witnesses, including
dozens of gendarmes (national police)

vehicles flying slowly over rooftops. hovering, beaming searchlights and
performing incredible maneuvers. The objects have been captured in some 25

3:30 PM. Over Blue Hill Bay -- At 3:30 p.m. Randy Rhodes, a police
dispatcher for the City of Ellsworth, and Bill Reiff, an attorney, took off in
a Beechcraft Bonanza from the Bar Harbor-Trenton airport. At around 3:45 p.m.
they spotted a huge metallic disc, shining like polished aluminum, at the 9
o'clock position. It was at the same altitude as their plane--approximately
5100-5200 feet .
The object suddenly moved dead ahead to the 12 o'clock position and it took on
a reddish or rose color. Not very enthusiastic about continuing on with this
thing in front of them, they turned back for the Bar Harbor-Trenton airport.
The Aerial Direction Finder was working at the time but the DME (Distance
Measuring Equipment) was not receiving. It had never before given them a
problem, and 3-4 minutes after the object disappeared the DME came back on.
When they landed they discovered that there had been power surges and outages
on the ground, and they recalled that when they last observed the object it was
headed in the direction of the Maine Yankee Nuclear Power plant in Wiscasset.
However, a spokesman for the Bangor HydroElectric Company later reported that
three limbs falling over a transmission line when a resident cut down a tree
caused the outage. (Source: UFOE Vol. II, Section III; Leland Bechtel, MUFON

11:20 PM. A domed disc-shaped object was seen over a high security
rocket weapons depot in Kapustin Yar, Astrakhan ,

military witnesses, including the two main witnesses named Voloshin and

times, accelerated and then stopped abruptly. It shot away when a Soviet
fighter jet appeared. (Sources: Paul Stonehill, The Soviet UFO Files, p. 79;

“Belgian Air Force checking out UFOs”
13 July 1990
(Bluefield Daily Telegraph, West Virginia )
Source: NewspaperArchive.com
Source: NewspaperArchive.com
The whole article:
“This country’s [Air Force] has joined scores of Belgians befuddled by
hundreds of UFO sightings across night skies in recent months.
In the latest report, two [Air Force] F-16 jet fighters used their radar
screens to track an object that, according to a military official, ‘exceeded
the limits of conventional aviation.’
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday, Belgian Air Force Col. Wilfried
[De] Brouwer said the UFO dived from about 10,000 to 4,000 feet in two
seconds. At the same time, it increased its speed from 600 to 1,100 miles an hour.
De Brouwer said the [Air Force] decided to wait before announcing the
sighting in the early hours of March 31 [1990] ‘because we wanted to compare
the radar sightings by our pilots with observations from radar stations.’ ”
