UFO News Article:
“Listen As Multiple Airline Pilots Report Very High-Speed Unidentified Objects Over Ireland (Updated)”
12 November 2018
(The Drive, U.S.A. )
At least three airline pilots reported sighting UFOs
over or off the south western coast of Ireland on 9 November 2018, at
approximately 6:47 a.m., according to the article.
A British Airways Boeing 787 (callsign: Speedbird 94) pilot
recounted that the two unknown objects were very bright. The UFOs had flown
along the left side of the 787 before veering to the north.
The pilot of a Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 (callsign: Virgin
76) reported that two very bright objects went from 11 o’clock off the
airplane’s nose before climbing away at high speed.
A Norwegian Air Boeing 737 pilot also was involved in
the discussion.
Shortly after the UFO incidents had occurred,
“experts” were already talking about probable debris from a meteor. Some “experts,”
just like UFO debunkers, never take the time (or wish) to look at the evidence.
It is possible that the unknown objects could have
been debris from a meteor – but debris from a meteor neither veers from its
path nor climbs away after descending.

“Airline Pilots Protest U.S. Government Secrecy
on UFOs: the Big Story the Elite Media Buried”
By Robert L. Hastings, 3 January 2016
(The UFO Chronicles, 5 January 2016)
Quote from the article:
“On December 22, 1958, a New Jersey
newspaper, the Newark Star-Ledger, published the startling article above.
The key passages follow here:
A group of more than 50 top commercial airline pilots,
all veterans of more than 15 years with major companies, yesterday blasted as
‘bordering on the absolute ridiculous’ the Air Force policy of tight
censorship, brush-off and denial in regard to unidentified flying
objects—flying saucers.
One termed the Air Force policy ‘a lesson in lying,
intrigue and the Big Brother attitude carried to the ultimate extreme.’ Each of
the pilots has sighted at least one UFO, the majority several... ‘We are
ordered to report all UFO sightings,’ said one, ‘but when we do, we are treated
like incompetents and told to keep quiet...’ This pilot also pointed to a Joint
Chiefs of Staff order giving top radio priority to UFO reports anywhere in the
world and specifying that any pilot who fails to maintain absolute secrecy
afterwards is subject to a maximum of ten years in jail and a fine of $10,000.’

In this very interesting newspaper article (The Baytown Sun (Texas), 3 June 2009) regarding the UFO sighting by a Continental Express airline pilot at Bush Intercontinental Airport, we learn that the FBI investigates cases where UFOs are sighted near airplanes:
http://baytownsun.com/story.lasso?ewcd=6482fb23a4f5a8d1
The comment by FBI Special Agent Shauna Dunlap is remarkable. According to her – the FBI and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigate many reports of UFOs sighted near airplanes each year.
In effect that would mean that there are many UFO sightings that have been reported by airplane pilots (and likely reports by airport personnel), which the U.S. public hasn’t heard about.
Special Agent Dunlap says that almost all reported aviation UFO sighting cases turn out to be not of a criminal nature.
In this article we also learn that the unknown object flew under the airplane and disappeared.

“Richard Hall:
Capt. Vicente Lopes Buono, commanding an airline flight (call letters
PP-DHU) between Belo Horizonte and Uberaba, Brazil, on August 9, 1971, at 9:00
a.m., reported that his plane was paced for 20 minutes at 2,400 meters (7,920 feet ) altitude by
a glowing orange disc (‘like two round basins, one on top of the other’) over
mountainous terrain. Sgt. Falcao, flight controller at Uberaba airport, suggested that he
investigate the object. When the pilot tried to move closer, the object
maintained a constant distance, then suddenly increased its speed and
disappeared.
The sighting occurred between the cities of Pratinha and Sacramento in the Minas
Gerais region. Lopes Buono, a pilot for 24 years, said ‘I never saw anything
like it in my entire career as a pilot.’ He gave a statement to Sgt. Silvio
Motta, commander of the Brazilian Air Force unit in Uberaba.14

Air Traffic Control Audio:
UFO Sighting by Chilean Airline Pilot,
Puerto Montt, Chile, (probably) 1988
CORRECTION: This audio recording comes from the Chilean Military, according to the video source. But LAN Chile is the name of Chile’s national airline. And this UFO incident involves a LAN Chile airliner (flight LAN 45). After doing some research, I’ve found that this incident probably is a Boeing 737 UFO encounter, which occurred in 1988. If that’s the case, then it’s likely that this audio recording comes from Chile’s Department of Civil Aeronautics (the equivalent of the U.S. FAA). The Boeing 737 made its final approach to the runway at the Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt City, when the captain saw a UFO, which flew straight towards the airliner.
This is an audio recording (texted in English) of the conversation (recorded during the UFO incident) between the captain of the LAN Chile airliner and a radar operator at the Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt City:

The radar operator also saw the unknown object, but the UFO was not detected by radar. The UFO’s lights changed colour from yellow to red, according to the radar operator.

“ ‘Strange Object’ Sighted in Skies by Pilots –
Seen Over Big Delta Wednesday”
12 December 1952
(Fairbanks Daily
News-Miner, Alaska )
Source: Newspapers.com
The whole article:
“Three airline pilots reportedly disclosed yesterday
they sighted a mysterious unidentified object ‘that looked like a landing
light’ traveling through the air at ‘a very high rate of speed’ Wednesday
evening [10 December 1952] in the vicinity of Big Delta.
Reliable news sources say the object was reported as
flying at an estimated altitude of 15,000 feet , some 6,000 feet above the
passenger plane.
Called Control
The crew, upon sighting the object, immediately
contacted air defense control by radio and reported the strange light. Yesterday
afternoon the pilots were taken to Ladd field for a two-and-a-half hour
interrogation by high officials there.
The pilots, following a request by the military, made absolutely no comment on the incident and the air force was unwilling to make a public statement.
Denies Report
The pilots, following a request by the military, made absolutely no comment on the incident and the air force was unwilling to make a public statement.
Denies Report
One news source said the mysterious flying object was
picked up by a Ladd field radar installation, but the base public information
office denied the report with the terse release: ‘We have had no reports of any
radar pickup like that.’
The air force said information gathered from the
airline pilots was forwarded to high command for further evaluation. All future
press releases will come from there, they added.”
My comment: Here – we once again have U.S. military
officials who admit that they sent a UFO report to “high command.” It is not
the first time we have seen this.

Wikipedia article: “Ladd Army Airfield”:
Quote from the Wikipedia article:
“Ladd Army Airfield (IATA: FBK, ICAO: PAFB,
FAA LID: FBK) is the military airfield located at Fort Jonathan
Wainwright, located in Fairbanks ,
Alaska . It was originally called
Fairbanks Air Base, but was renamed Ladd Field on 1 December 1939,[4] in
honor of Major Arthur K. Ladd, a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps who died in a
plane crash near Dale, South Carolina on 13 December 1935.[5][6]
History
Origins
The major use of Ladd Field was primarily cold-weather
testing of aircraft and equipment. Only Interior Alaska offered the
consistently cold temperatures needed. However, the Attack on Pearl Harbor in
December 1941 forced the temporary halt on testing at Ladd since the military
needed all aircraft for the defense of Alaska .
World War II
When the Air Force was made a separate branch in 1947
the name was changed to Ladd Air Force Base. For many years, it would be one of
two Air Force bases in the Fairbanks
area.
Cold War
From the late 1940s into the 1950s, Ladd AFB served as
the northern hub for Air Force activities in Alaska . As headquarters first of the
Northern Sector of the Alaskan Air Command and later of the 11th Air Division,
Ladd was centrally involved in the Cold War missions of the Alaskan Command and
in the transient missions of other military units, including the Strategic Air
Command (SAC).
Ladd was not exclusively an Air Force site. The Army
was also present to provide antiaircraft (AAA) support and base defense. At
Ladd, Cold War activities fell mainly into three time periods: an early phase
from 1946–1950; a buildup and support hub phase from 1950–1957; and a transfer
phase from 1958–1961, when the installation was turned over to the Army.
During 1946-1950, personnel from Ladd laid some of the
groundwork of the early Cold War with strategic reconnaissance and Arctic
research projects. Among other missions, they made initial assessments of the
Soviet presence in the Arctic ; more fully
developed the practice of polar navigation; extended Arctic topography; tested
cold weather equipment, clothing, and human performance, as well as maintained
the area air defenses of the region.
In 1948, as Cold War tensions heightened, the Army's
2nd Infantry sent ground defense soldiers to Ladd.
From the onset of the Korean War in 1950 and
continuing through 1957, Ladd saw intense use. It became a busy operations and
logistics center with significantly expanded facilities and personnel strength.
As the northern region headquarters of the 11th Air Division, the base was the logistical support center forAlaska 's new defense projects. Ladd
supported Aircraft Control & Warning (AC&W) sites and forward operating
bases such as Galena , Alaska , the northwestern segments of the
Distant Early Warning Line (DEW Line), and the White Alice communications
network (WACS).”

“2 Sightings Of UFOs Near Anchorage”
15 May 1977
(Seattle

and AFU.se
The whole article (Page 1):
“Unidentified flying objects have been reported over
the Chugach Mountains just east of here by a Northwest Orient Airline crew and
a radar approach controller at Anchorage
International Airport ,
reports Pat Fullerton of Anchorage
radio station KANC.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Cliff
Cernick said Friday one of the controllers reported that on April 23 (1977) he
saw ‘four blips which gyrated on his radarscope in an unusual manner. The
controller, Terry Siegrest, saw the blips settle downwards, and then move
across the scope at a rapid rate of speed.’
Cernick says the airline also reported sighting an
unidentified flying object on that date.
It might have some natural explanation and I wouldn’t
overplay it,’ Cernick said. ‘I don’t want people to think the FAA sees little
green men.’
Siegrest told Fullerton
the objects first appeared about 30 miles from Anchorage , moving slowly and eventually
stopping completely. When they· resumed movement. he said, they picked up speed
and ‘zipped off to the east .’
Harry Fluharty relieved Siegrest after the radar sightings.
He said a Northwest Orient pilot reported that he saw a single bright object at
60,000 feet
moving at a high rate of speed.
Fluharty quoted the pilot as saying, ‘I’ll probably be
sorry for reporting this, but I know what I saw and my whole crew saw it, too.’

Quote from the article, ‘HIDDEN
REPORT – Pilot ‘Dog-Fights’ A UFO’: “The former AF pilot is now a
captain on a major airline. Because of the airline’s policy, he had to remain
anonymous as he described – off camera – his 12-year-old sighting.
At the time of the encounter,
he and another AF pilot were flying F-86-D jet interceptors over the central
San Joaquin Valley of California. After the Castle AFB tower asked if he could
detect a UFO he saw a circular, luminescent object which he estimated as
between 50 and 100 feet
in diameter. As be tried to close in, with the second F-86, the UFO dived into
a cloud.
In an attempt to box in the
unknown object one pilot flew above the cloud, the other below it. A ‘dog-fight’
between cloud layers resulted, with the UFO ascending and descending vertically
‘at quite a speed.’
For a brief period, the captain
reported, he got a radar lock-on to the object. As this happened, the UFO
appeared to contract and fade away. At other times, he said, the object
apparently would allow them to approach to a certain distance and then maneuver
up and down to keep them from getting too close. Near the end of the encounter,
the UFO reversed the chase pattern, following the second F-86 before finally disappearing
upward into the clouds.
Details of the sighting were
reported to Castle AFB.”

UFO Case Report:
“Ham Radio Operator Hears
American Airlines Pilot Report UFO.”
By William Puckett (Montana State MUFON Director),
6 February 2016
(UFOs Northwest, Helena, Montana)
Quote from the UFO case report:
“Location of Sighting: Near Nephi, Utah
Date of Sighting: January
14, 2016
Time of Sighting: Between
12:12 and 12:13 AM MST
Background: This case
was reported to me by Erica Lukes who is the director of MUFON for the state of
Utah. She knows a radio show host (Pat Daniels) who was scanning communications
between aircraft and the FAA shortly after midnight on January 14, 2016. He
heard a conversation between an airline pilot and Air Route Traffic Control.
The pilot reported seeing an extremely large bright
object that he estimated a mile wide to his right. The air traffic controller
told him that he was looking in the direction of Nephi, Utah. Apparently the
air traffic controller told the pilot that the object was not detected on
radar. The object appeared to keep pace with the aircraft.
A Freedom of Information (FOIA) request was written to
the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). About six weeks later we received a
response to the FOIA. The response consisted of radar returns, voice tapes and
tower logs. The FAA is to be commended for their full and timely response to our
request.
Research showed that the aircraft was American
Airlines Flight Number 434 which was enroute from San Francisco, CA to
Philadelphia, PA. The actual sighting time was between 12:12 and 12:13 AM MST
on January 14, 2016. We were able to find segments of the conversation on the
Air Traffic Control archives website, but much of conversation was deleted. One
could hear the controller telling the pilot that Nephi, Utah was off to his
right and the pilot acknowledging the transmission. However, the UFO report was
not on the tape. The ham radio operator did not record the conversation so the ‘UFO
report’ could not be heard. He heard the conversation on the frequency of
127.95 mhz.
Update: March 4, 2016.
The voice tape obtained from the FAA (see above) does fill in some of the
transmission missing from the tape from the Air Traffic Control archives
website. The only thing not included from the original transmission was the
estimated size of the object and the and the conversation where the FAA said
that the object was not detected on radar. The airline crew described the
object as a large orange square.
An animation was constructed for each revolution of
the radar (12 seconds). The radar animation frames are speeded up to one
second/revolution in the animation. (Animation follows voice tape above.) The
animation shows 1 to 3 returns for each revolution of the radar. There are a
few rotations where no returns are detected. This is strange. There is no
detected conventional movement and the returns vary from 0 to 3 over the 7
minute period. The time period is from 12:08 to 12:15 AM MST which is a few
minutes before and after the pilot reported the strange object. One wonders if
the object was moving erratically and perhaps was rotating exposing more or
less radar cross sectional area resulting in no detection or a different number
of returns? The object could have been large considering this type of ‘radar
signature?’
A visual trace of the FAA tape is shown in Figure 1. Pat Daniels (ham radio operator) stated in a radio interview that the aircraft radioed the FAA and inquired whether radar showed anything in the area of their sighting. This conversation was around a minute before the conversation where the FAA told the crew that the town to the right was Nephi, Utah. There was some conversation in this time frame. (See annotation in Figure 1.) However, the conversation has been deleted and only a second or two not ‘redacted.’ The question is why did the FAA redact this conversation? According to Pat Daniels the crew did not announce their flight number when they first sighted the object. So perhaps the FAA didn’t include it for that reason. Or perhaps they did not want the public to hear the conversation? In the recorded conversation starting just after 12:12 AM the crew was talking about their sighting and the FAA responded ‘you mean to the right.’ How did they know that? They knew because they had it on radar.”

Almost immediately a second but white light was seen under the haze above Ocala. This rapidly came toward them on collision course and pilots thought it was a sidewinder. Light made a sharp 90° turn and then disappeared. Third part of observation came when they approached Miami. Palm Beach Center informed them their radar had object following them, asked them to make a 360° turn. Pilot thought he identified light but was not certain. The most significant part of observation was the ‘sidewinder collision’ part. Pilots would probably not have reported total incident had it not been for the seeming near collision with light.”
