UFO Report:
“The 1990 UFO Chronology”
Created: 15 September 2008

Quote
from the UFO report:
“This is currently an 11-page chronology of UFO incidents and events for
1990. Our thanks for these chronologies must go to Richard Hall (the original
1990 chronology from UFOE II), Dan Wilson (archive researcher), and Jean
Waskiewicz (online NICAP DBase [NSID]. You will note the many foreign reports
that we are now being able to access. Our special thanks to Dan Wilson for
getting those to us. As more come in, this page will be updated. Previous
chronologies (1947 to 1969) involved the expertise of two other team members;
Rebecca Wise (Project Blue Book Archive) and Brad Sparks (Comprehensive Catalog
of Project Blue Book Unknowns). Bob Gribble’s entries are those filed with the National UFO
Reporting Center
in Seattle , Washington , now operated by Peter Davenport.
Trace cases are now being entered with the help of Ted Phillips, Center for
Physical Trace Research and retrofitted into previous chronologies as time
permits. Since I was Indiana State Director (MUFON) at that time, many of our Indiana cases are listed
here. My file alone was over 3" thick. The computer database shows 69
cases in the region, with 55 of then Indiana
cases. Twenty-one of the total were close encounters.

7:45 PM. A security guard and an air traffic controller at Air Force

the B1-B bomber. There was also a rumor of an abduction occurring on this date
at the same facility. (Source: MUFON UFO Journal, November 1990).

3:30 PM. Over Blue Hill Bay -- At 3:30 p.m. Randy Rhodes, a police
dispatcher for the City of Ellsworth, and Bill Reiff, an attorney, took off in
a Beechcraft Bonanza from the Bar Harbor-Trenton airport. At around 3:45 p.m.
they spotted a huge metallic disc, shining like polished aluminum, at the 9
o'clock position. It was at the same altitude as their plane--approximately
5100-5200 feet .
The object suddenly moved dead ahead to the 12 o'clock position and it took on
a reddish or rose color. Not very enthusiastic about continuing on with this
thing in front of them, they turned back for the Bar Harbor-Trenton airport.
The Aerial Direction Finder was working at the time but the DME (Distance
Measuring Equipment) was not receiving. It had never before given them a
problem, and 3-4 minutes after the object disappeared the DME came back on.
When they landed they discovered that there had been power surges and outages
on the ground, and they recalled that when they last observed the object it was
headed in the direction of the Maine Yankee Nuclear Power plant in Wiscasset.
However, a spokesman for the Bangor HydroElectric Company later reported that
three limbs falling over a transmission line when a resident cut down a tree
caused the outage. (Source: UFOE Vol. II, Section III; Leland Bechtel, MUFON

July 28, 1989; Kapustin Yar, Astrakhan ,
Russia
11:20 PM. A domed disc-shaped object was seen over a high security
rocket weapons depot in Kapustin Yar, Astrakhan ,
Russia , by four
military witnesses, including the two main witnesses named Voloshin and
Tishchayev. The UFO glowed a phosphorescent green. It circled the depot three
times, accelerated and then stopped abruptly. It shot away when a Soviet
fighter jet appeared. (Sources: Paul Stonehill, The Soviet UFO Files, p. 79;

Daytime. Up to 200 people observed a huge triangular
shaped UFO pass overhead in various places along the South
Wales coast. They included a class of schoolchildren and a
football team. In Swansea
two detectives, DS Mike Troake and DC Gethen Humphreys saw the object glide
overhead in total silence. DS Troake said, ‘I’m used to seeing aircraft in the
sky but this was massive-much bigger than a plane. There was a large main
cluster of lights at the front shaped a bit like a Zeppelin followed by a
triangular group of lights. They moved gracefully across the sky about 1000 feet up.’ Fearful of
ridicule neither officer reported the incident to their colleagues. UFO

A diesel train of 14 cars was stalled by a huge UFO.
First seen as an enormous, blinding cloud of light over the city, it then flew
toward the train changing color from bright white to glowing orange. Seventy
passengers on board were awakened and screamed in terror. A yellow ray of light
struck the locomotive and stalled the engine. Engineer Sixto Churaz said that ‘I
tried to start up the engine, but it was dead. Fifteen minutes later the engine
suddenly came to life again as the object began to move away from the-train.’
The locomotive had just been through an overhaul and was found to be in perfect
condition. Experts from the University
of Qruro , railroad
officials, and local police confirmed that a UFO had paralyzed the train and
that it was not a mechanical breakdown. On three previous nights, nearby
villagers being harassed by UFOs tried to frighten them off with gunfire. This
episode introduces the extreme challenging element of the engine starting by
itself as the UFO departed, a circumstance that has been reported on 27 other
occasions for spark-ignited engines. (McCampbell).

Highway Patrol officer Harold R. Chandler was on routine patrol near the
Northern California border with Oregon

overhead across his path. ‘I was looking up at the bottom of the object, It was
about 800+ feet above me. [Its] speed was slow, maybe 80-100 m .p.h. ....The craft
stood out clearly against the sky and appeared dark gray.’ (Investigation by
Paul Cerny; MUFON report form.)

Evening. Russian Air Traffic Controllers had
radar-visual reports of a steel-gray colored UFO, the shape of a cigar and the
size of an airliner, in view and on their screens for 40 minutes. It was first
picked up 50 nautical miles north of Gorky ,
Russia and
vanished about 25 nautical miles from the city. (Source: International UFO

USS Midway just picked them up on their air search radar. (See details below)

“U.S. NAVY PREPARING NEW GUIDELINES
ON HOW TO REPORT UFO SIGHTINGS”
26 April 2019
(RT, Moscow ,
Russia )
Source: eventimus (YouTube channel)
Information by the U.S. Navy regarding the new 2019
UFO reporting guidelines (the information came from Joseph Gradisher,
Spokesperson for Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare) (not
quoted verbatim):
Incursions of unidentified aircraft into the U.S.
airspace can be both a security risk and pose a safety hazard for both U.S.
Navy and U.S. Air Force aviation.
In recent years – a number of unauthorized and/or
unidentified aircraft have entered various military-controlled ranges and
designated airspace.
Because of the safety and security concerns – the Navy
and the Air Force take these reports very seriously and investigate each and
every report.
The new UFO reporting guidelines are being updated and formalized so that reports of any suspected incursions can be made to the right authorities.
The U.S. Navy wants to get to the bottom of this (who is doing it, where it is coming from and what their intent is) – and we need to try to find ways to prevent it from happening again.

ABC Primetime Reports On
UFOs In the Soviet Union
1994
(ABC News, New
York City , New York )
Source: Chris Chilli (YouTube channel)
ABC presents interviews with several Soviet military
officials, including retired Soviet Air Force Colonel Boris Sokolov.
On 4 October 1982, a huge UFO hovered over the ballistic
missile base near Byelokoroviche ,
Ukraine . It
looked like a flying saucer, according to a Lieutenant Colonel. While the UFO
hovered over the ICBMs – the missiles were preparing for launching, according
to Sokolov. For 15 seconds – the Soviet military had no control over the
ICBM’s, ABC reports.
On 23 February 1988, a UFO was registered on radar near the
Kapustin Yar air base (located in Astrakhan Oblast) – and the entire Soviet
anti-ballistic radar grid did go on alert. Jet fighters were sent aloft – and
several times, fighter pilots were ordered to fire on the unknown object. Each
time a pilot was ready to fire – the target had disappeared. Finally, the UFO
went away.
