UFO News Article (Blog):
“A blizzard in hell”

By Billy Cox, 30 June 2020
(De Void, Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Florida)

Billy Cox ties the 2020-2021 Senate Intelligence Authorization Act report in with the U.S. government’s response to the
8 January 2008 Stephenville, Texas, UFO incident.

The article has an interview with UFO researcher Jan L. Aldrich.

Quote from the article:
“It is impossible to overstate the magnitude of this heretofore unthinkable directive issued by the Senate last week. It sounds almost, what, too normal, too pro forma, as if the most radical fishing expedition of our lifetime is simply a matter of good bureaucratic housekeeping. Yet, here we are, in a place no one could have predicted even a year ago.

The ‘how’ of why we’re here is the easiest part to figure. Without To The Stars Academy – which has been lambasted in small but obstreperous corners as the propaganda arm of some hidden hand – there is no ‘Advanced Aerial Threats’ mandate in the Senate package. Period. For all of its flaws during and after its 2017 rollout, TTSA, guided most credibly by Luis Elizondo and Chris Mellon, has accomplished the impossible. Can we all at least agree on that?”

My comment:
There is no question about it – without the efforts of the To The Stars Academy – the words “Advanced Aerial Threats” would never have appeared in the Senate report.

A big kudos and thanks to everyone at the To The Stars Academy.

U.S. Government UFO News Release Article:
“IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Statement by the Department of Defense
on the Release of Historical Navy Videos”

27 April 2020
(U.S. Department of Defense, Washington, D.C.)

The whole article:
“The Department of Defense has authorized the release of three unclassified Navy videos, one taken in November 2004 and the other two in January 2015, which have been circulating in the public domain after unauthorized releases in 2007 and 2017.  The U.S. Navy previously acknowledged that these videos circulating in the public domain were indeed Navy videos. After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena. DOD is releasing the videos in order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos. The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as "unidentified."  The released videos can be found at the Naval Air Systems Command FOIA Reading Room: https://www.navair.navy.mil/foia/documents.”

UFO Paper:
“Nuclear Connection Project: NCP Paper:
NCP-22: UFOIS: The UFO Sighting Wave of 1957”

(NICAP.org)

Quote from the UFO paper:
“Date: Thursday, 3 January 2013

Up until 1957, the American view of UFOs was basically that of a phenomenon of lights in the sky observed by inexperienced witnesses.

Not all intelligence people were that calm about it, but concentrating on defense and the Soviets, made it easier to ignore it. But in early November the UFOs brought about a series of close encounters never before seen in the United States, providing another major stress that the military did not need. The minority group at Wright-Patterson AFB and the Pentagon, the UFO debunkers, would have to handle that matter on their own. They had Soviet Sputniks and ICBMs on their minds.

Project Blue Book received 1,006 reports of UFO sightings in 1957. This was the third highest UFO sighting year in the 1947 through 1969 time period of official Air Force investigations. The year of 1957 was highlighted by the Levelland, Texas sightings which occurred in November.

America’s third major sighting wave of 1957 peaked in the first week of November 1957, with at least 30 accounts of electrical devices experiencing temporary failure in connection with a UFO sighting. The files of Project Blue Book show 330 reports for that week, while the files of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) list almost 90 unexplained reports.

Out of 529 *U* Database listings for 1957, 208 were in November and 323 in North America. The busiest days 5 and 6 November (67 total listings) coincided exactly with the Taurids meteor shower. This is the only major wave to do so but if one looks at the data there is no direct connection, only a coincidence. The three busiest states were California (41), Texas (37) and New Mexico (33).

The most striking feature of this sighting wave was the concentration of ‘electromagnetic effect’ cases around the west Texas town of Levelland. There were at least eight such reports in the space of 2.5 hours in an area to the west, north and east of Levelland. Project Blue Book sent a single investigator to Levelland to check the reports. His explanation, accepted as the official Air Force conclusion, was that: ‘... the major cause for the Levelland case was a severe electrical storm. The storm stimulated the populace into a high level of excitement. This excitement reflected itself in their reactions to ordinary circumstances, and resulted in the inflation of the stories of some of the witnesses concerning their experiences.’ Ten years after these incidents, atmospheric physicist Dr. James McDonald completed a study and determined that there had been no storm in the area, and thus no source of excessive moisture to interfere with the automobiles' electrical systems. With no ‘severe electrical storm’ to ‘stimulate the populace into a high level of excitement,’ the official explanation falls apart.

UFO Report (Cases) (E-mail):
”Subject: Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant/
Triangle UFO reports nearby”

By Daniel Wilson, 2 September 2004
(NICAP.org)

Quote from the e-mail:
“HERE IS ANOTHER CASE OF A TROUBLED NUCLEAR POWER PLANT AND TRIANGLE-SHAPED UFOS BEING REPORTED NEARBY.”

My comment:
In this e-mail, Daniel Wilson presents seven NUFORC UFO case reports. The North Carolina UFO incidents occurred on 23 June 1998, 12 August 1999, 22 November 2000, 1 January 2002, 2 August 2002, 21 November 2002, 10 July 2003.

He also presents a news article (“Problems mount at Shearon Harris”) that reports on the 2003 Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant emergency shutdowns.

The Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant is located in New Hill, North Carolina.

http://nicap.org/nuccon/021121_N_Carolina.htm

Wikipedia article: “Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant”:

Quote from the Wikipedia article:
“The Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant is a nuclear power plant with a single Westinghouse designed pressurized-water nuclear reactor operated by Duke Energy. It was named in honor of W. Shearon Harris, former president of Carolina Power & Light (predecessor of Progress Energy Inc.).[2] Located in New Hill, North Carolina, in the United States, about 20 miles (30 km) southwest of Raleigh, it generates 900 MWe, has a 523-foot (160 m) natural draft cooling tower, and uses Harris Lake for cooling. The reactor achieved criticality in January 1987 and began providing power commercially on May 2 of that year.

The Shearon Harris site was originally designed for four reactors, but cost and weakening demand despite a growing population resulted in three of the reactors being canceled. The final cost approached $3.9B, including safety upgrades mandated after the Three Mile Island accident.

On November 16, 2006, the operator applied to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a renewal and extension of the plant's operating license.[3] The NRC granted the renewal on December 17, 2008, extending the license from forty years to sixty.[4]”
