UFO Article & Radio Interview:
“David Marler – The Battle of LA UFO Incident –
October 9, 2018”

By Alejandro Rojas
(OpenMinds.tv/Open Minds UFO Radio, Tempe, Arizona)

The so-called “Battle of Los Angeles” occurred on 24 and 25 (p.m. into a.m.) February 1942.

Several UFOs were first sighted over Los Angeles, California, on the night of 24 February 1942.

Excerpt from the Wikipedia article, “Battle of Los Angeles”:
“Air raid sirens were sounded throughout Los Angeles County at 2:25 a.m. and a total blackout was ordered. Thousands of air raid wardens were summoned to their positions. At 3:16 a.m. on February 25, the 37th Coast Artillery Brigade began firing 12.8-pound anti-aircraft shells into the air at the object(s); over 1400 shells would eventually be fired [1]. Pilots of the 4th Interceptor Command were alerted but their aircraft remained grounded. The artillery fire continued sporadically until 4:14 a.m. The objects were said to have taken about 20 minutes to have moved from over Santa Monica to above Long Beach. The ‘all clear’ was sounded and the blackout order lifted at 7:21 a.m.”

It was the contemporary news agencies who named the UFO incident, The Battle of Los Angeles.

The interview starts at 25 minutes.

U.S. Government UFO Document Presented In the Book, The UFO Cover-Up: What the Government Won’t Say

General George C. Marshall, Chief of Staff (U.S. Department of Defense, Washington, D.C.), sent a 26 February 1942 memorandum to President Roosevelt regarding the incident known as the “Battle of Los Angeles.”

Quote from the document:
“MEMORANDUM FOR PRESIDENT:

The following is the information we have from GHQ at this moment regarding the air alarm over Los Angeles of yesterday morning:

‘From details available at this hour:

‘1. Unidentified airplanes, other than American Army or Navy planes, were probably over Los Angeles, and were fired on by elements of the 37th CA Brigade (AA) between 3:12 and 4:15 AM. These units expended 1430 rounds of ammunition.

‘2.  As many as fifteen airplanes may have been involved, flying at various speeds from what is officially reported as being ‘very slow’ to as much as 200 MPH and at elevations from 9000 to 15000 feet.”

The document can be found on Page 236 (Page 238 in the printed book).

The book is written by Lawrence A. Fawcett and Barry J. Greenwood.
