Mr. and Mrs. Monin and their granddaughter sighted a self-luminous, cylindrical shaped UFO which landed on their property in Savigny-le-Bois, France, on 5 February 1967, at 9:45 p.m.

The UFO was about 20 metres (60 feet) long and 7 metres (20 feet) high.

White filaments fell from the sky for nearly four hours after the UFO sighting. The filaments were examined by Portuguese scientists.
