Several witnesses in different parts of Portugal sighted a large, self-luminous UFO on 1 June 2004, at about 10:30 p.m.:

The unknown object had a north to south trajectory. And it crossed the sky surrounded by a layer of smoke.
The UFO was registered on at least one Portuguese Air Force radar screen.
Many people in the Galicia region of Spain also sighted the UFO.
