UFO News Article:
“Luciano: 50 years later, UFO
remains a mystery in East Peoria”
14 March 2017
(Journal Star, Peoria ,
Illinois )
The article reports on a 9 March 1967 night-time UFO
incident. On 10 March 1967, the Journal Star reported that three East Peorians and a Pekinite saw the UFO.
NOTE: Because of the European Union’s new (26 March
2019) copyright directive – Europeans cannot access many U.S. news
websites.
Therefore, the only information I have about this UFO
case is the short text that is provided by Google (Google search).
EU’s copyright directive is not a good thing for UFO
researchers, other researchers and news readers.
Since Norway
is not a member of the European Union – I have a hard time understanding why
citizens from our sovereign nation have to be burdened by this directive.

“ ‘Saucers’ Reported On Coast”
12 July 1957
(Albuquerque Journal, New Mexico )
Source: Newspapers.com
The whole article:
“A private investigative committee said Thursday that
Civil Aeronautics Administration control tower operators have tracked four
‘flying saucers’ over California, operating at speeds up to 3600 miles an hour.
Eight members of the National Investigations Committee
on Aerial Phenomena, including Rear Adm. Herbert B. Knowles, USN (ret.),
certified they had seen the signed radar report.
Admiral Knowles criticized the veil of secrecy that
surrounds unidentified flying objects (UFO). He declared: ‘There is a real need
to break through the official Washington
brush-off and get the truth to the people.’
New Members Named
The NICAP, a private organization, also announced the
names of five new board members: Vice Adm. R. H. Hillenkoetter, USN (ret.),
former director, Central Intelligence Agency; Lt. Gen. P. A. Del Valle, USMC
(ret.); Maj. Dewey Fournet, former air force UFO investigator; J. B. Hartranft
Jr., president of the 65,000-member Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assn., and Dr.
Marnus Bach, noted author and professor of religion, Iowa State University.
These and other new UFO developments were disclosed
Thursday in the first issue of the ‘UFO investigator,’ the NICAP’s magazine
report to members. Copies also were sent to all members of Congress.
Appeared in March
The radar report certified by the NICAP was made at an
airport in the Los Angeles
area. The first of the four UFO’s appeared on the tower radarscope shortly
before midnight, the night of March 23 [1957].
The NICAP also proposed to Air Force Secretary James
H. Douglas and eight-point plan of cooperation to end controversy and public
confusion over flying saucers.”

“Carrier Boy Reports UFO”
3 March 1967
(Amarillo Globe-Times, Texas )
Source: NewspaperArchive.com
The whole article:
“Sighting of an unidentified flying object (UFO) which looked like a
huge boomerang was reported today by a 16-year-old newspaper carrier boy.
Danny Bruce Perry of 4103 E. 31st spotted the object while he was
delivering papers in the 2200 block of Carter [Amarillo , Texas ]
about 5:30 a.m. today [3 March 1967]. He said it appeared to be between 40 and 80 feet wide.
Young Perry said he heard a noise behind him similar in sound to a dog
running along dragging a chain. He turned around and didn’t see anything until
he looked upward and saw the boomerang-shaped object.
‘It was light grey in color and sounded similar to a noise produced when
you tie a heavy object on one end of a wire and swing it in a circle at a high
rate of speed,’ the youth said. He couldn’t estimate the object’s height.
Perry said it was moving west.”

My comment:
Anyone who has researched the UFO phenomenon for a while – has no doubt discovered that, from time to time, a UFO follows a car down the road; and continues to follow the car until the driver arrives at his/her home. The UFO then proceeds to hover over or near the house for a few minutes, or longer.

“Declassified Strategic Air Command Message”
(CUFON.org text)
17 March 1967
(U.S.
Air Force, Washington , D.C. )
Source: Computer UFO Network (CUFON), Seattle , Washington
Quote from the document (not written in U.S.
Department of Defense document format):
“ALL TEN MISSILES IN ECHO FLIGHT AT MALMSTROM LOST
STRAT ALERT WITHIN TEN SECONDS OF EACH OTHER. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED AT 0845L
ON 16 MARCH 67. AS OF THIS DATE, ASS MISSILES HAVE RETURNED TO STRAT ALERT WITH
NO APPARENT DIFFICULTY. INVESTIGATION AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE INCIDENT IS BEING
CONDUCTED BY MALMSTROM TEST. TWO FITTS HAVE BEEN RUN THROUGH TWO MISSILES THUS
FAR. NO CONCLUSIONS HAVE BEEN DRAWN. THERE ARE INDICATIONS THAT BOTH COMPUTERS
IN BOTH G&C’S WERE UPSET MOMENTARILY. CAUSE OF THE UPSET IS NOT KNOWN AT
THIS TIME. ALL OTHER SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION AT THIS TIME IS CONTAINED IN ABOVE
REFERENCED MESSAGE, FOR OOAMA. THE FACT THAT NO APPARENT REASON FOR THE LOSS OF
TEN MISSILES CAN BE READILY IDENTIFIED IS CAUSE FOR GRAVE CONCERN TO THIS
HEADQUARTERS. WE MUST HAVE AN IN-DEPTH
ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE CAUSE AND CORRECTIVE ACTION AND WE MUST KNOW AS QUICKLY
AS POSSIBLE WHAT THE IMPACT IS TO THE FLEET, IF ANY. REQUEST YOUR RESPONSE BE
IN KEEPING WITH THE URGENCY OF THE PROBLEM. WE IN TURN WILL PROVIDE OUR FULL
COOPERATION AND SUPPORT.
FOR OOAMA AND 15AF WE HAVE CONCURRED IN A BOEING
REQUEST TO SEND TWO ENGINEERS, MR. R.E RIGERT AND MR. W. M. DUTTON TO MALMSTROM
TO COLLECT FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROBLEM FOR POSSIBLE ASSISTANCE IN LATER
ANALYSIS. REQUEST COOPERATION OF ALL CONCERNED TO PROVIDE THEM ACCESS TO
AVAILABLE INFORMATION, I.E., CREW COMMANDERS LOG ENTRIES, MAINTENANCE FORES,
INTERROGATION OF KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE, ETC.”

“On This Day: March 8:
1967 - Mr. and Mrs. Wallace were
driving in Leominster , Massachusetts at 1:05 in the morning
when they noticed an unusual light flying over a nearby cemetery. They drove
closer to investigate and saw the UFO surrounded by a heavy fog or mist. They
described the object as a bright bluish-white, glowing dome-shaped object that
was hovering low to the ground with a rocking, pendulum motion. The rim of the
object glowed as bright as an acetylene torch. The car’s engine, lights, and
radio failed. Mr. Wallace got out of the car and felt his arm tugged by some
force against the body of the car. He felt tingling electric shocks and felt
paralyzed in close presence to the object. The UFO wobbled, hummed, and then
shot up vertically into sky. (Source: Raymond E. Fowler, UFOs: Interplanetary
