UFO Article (Blog):
“THE ‘SEA FURY’ INCIDENT”

16 May 2017
(AUS UFO (https://ausufo.wordpress.com), Australia)

Quote from the article:
“Making headlines in December 1954 is the now infamous ‘Sea
Fury’ encounter. On August 31st, 1954, [fighter pilot] Lieutenant
J.A. O’Farrell was returning to Royal Australian Navy Air Station

Nowra after flying across the country in a Sea Fury Aircraft.

At about 7:10pm while near [Goulburn], NSW, O’Farrell saw a bright light approaching at speed almost head on. It crossed in front of his aircraft taking up position on his port beam, where it appeared to orbit.

A second ‘bright light’ was seen at nine o’clock, passing about a mile in from the Sea Fury before turning in the position where the first light was observed.

According to the pilot, the crossing speeds of the lights were the fastest he’d ever seen. He was flying at about 400km/h.

Radar operator at Nowra base Petty Officer Keith Jessop confirmed the presence of two objects near the Sea Fury on the G.C.I. remote display.

The two lights reformed at nine o’clock before disappearing on a north-easterly heading.

O’Farrell could only make out ‘a vague shape with the white light situated centrally on top.’ The Directorate of Naval Intelligence at the time wrote that O’Farrell was ‘an entirely credible witness’ and that he ‘was visibly ‘shaken’ by his experience, but remains adamant that he saw these objects.’

‘These two aircraft came in quite close to me and I could really see the dark mass and that they were quite big, but I couldn’t make out any other lights or any other form of an aircraft. With that they took off and headed off to the north east at great speed.’ –J.A. ‘Seamus’ O’Farrell.”

UFO Radio Interviews:
“Travis Taylor & Leslie Kean”

Streamed live: 31 March 2020
(Podcast UFO, Sebago, Maine)

Source: Martin Willis Live Shows (YouTube channel)

Quote from the video text:
“THE FIRST SEGMENT of the show is with Dr Travis Taylor who discusses the HISTORY Channel’s: The Secret of Skinwalker
Ranch … FOLLOWING TWO SEGMENTS: Journalist Leslie Kean joins us for an interesting discussion of behind the scenes of co-authoring the article in the New York Times, December 16, 2017 that brought the world’s attention to UFOs, and what has changed since that time.”

My comment:
At 26:39, Martin Willis talks about a conversation he had during an American Airlines flight. Willis recounts that he talked to a relocating American Airlines pilot who sat next to him. He asked the pilot if he had seen the 16 December 2017 The New York Times article. No, he had not read the article, he said. And then the pilot said the following: “But you know what – they are real, I can tell you that.” He went on to tell Willis that when he was an F/A-18 Hornet fighter pilot – he was once followed by a green orb for a long time.

UFO Radio Show:
“ ‘Contact,’ with Bob Kennedy”

Date of broadcast: 18 May 1964
(WBZ Radio, Boston, Massachusetts)

Source: Flight 19 Video (YouTube channel)

Quote from the video text:
“Synopsis: Bob Kennedy’s guests are: Major Donald E. Keyhoe, Streeter Stuart, newsman and NICAP member and Walter Webb, amateur astronomer and NICAP member. This is an extremely important historical recording of early NICAP members and the head to head by Walter Webb and [Streeter Stuart] with Mrs. Lyle Boyd over the [book’s] omissions and conclusions. It must also be stated that NICAP, since early 1964, had been using appearances on the radio as a vehicle to promote their upcoming research book entitled, The UFO Evidence.”

My comment:
The radio show has an interview with police officer Lonnie Zamora. Zamora was a witness to the 24 April 1964 Socorro, New Mexico, UFO incident. The interview starts at 10:24.
