Dan Wilson:
March 29, 1952; [Elisabethville], Belgian Congo. (BBU)
This is the date this information was published and not the date of the incident. ‘Recently two fiery discs were sighted over the uranium mines located in the southern part of the Belgian Congo. The discs with a diameter of approximately 12 to 15 meters traveled in a precise and light manner, both vertically and horizontally. Changes in elevation from 800 to 1,000 meters were accomplished in a few seconds. The discs often moved down to within 20 meters (400') of the tree tops. Commander Pierre set out in pursuit of the objects in a fighter plane. On his first approach he came to within about 120 meters of one of the discs. Suddenly the discs hovered in one spot then took off in a unique zigzag flight to the northeast at an estimated speed of 1,500 kilometers per hour. Pierre gave up his pursuit after about 15 minutes.’ (McDonald files; Jan Aldrich, Dan Wilson)

Fran Ridge:
By January 1948 talks resulted in the U.S. getting all of the uranium from the Congo for the next two years, 1948-49, plus an option on uncommitted ore that had already been shipped to Britain. This generous settlement was achieved by allowing British scientists access to a number of nuclear secrets.”

Robert L. Hastings is the foremost UFO researcher investigating the UFOs/U.S. nuclear weapons sites connection.

Hastings has interviewed more than 150 former U.S. military veterans (according to his website, UFOs & Nukes (http://www.ufohastings.com/)) who worked on some of the most sensitive U.S. nuclear weapons/military programmes, including ICBM launch and targeting officers.

He has been able to ferret out some remarkable information about UFO activity over ICBM and nuclear weapons storage facilities.

Robert L. Hastings is the author of the seminal book, UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites. He is also the producer of the documentary film, UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed.

UFO Article (Blog):
“The Bigelow Foundation –
UAP, abductions and more”

By Keith Basterfield, 22 May 2020
(UFOs – scientific research, Campbelltown,
New South Wales, Australia)

Quote from the article:
Introduction

The earliest incarnation of Robert T. Bigelow’s public interest in UAP, and other diverse topics, was The Bigelow Foundation.

Recently, Angela Thompson Smith, PhD, appeared as a guest on Erica Lukes’ radio show ‘UFO Classified.’ Angela worked at The Bigelow Foundation between October 1992 and April 1994. She was kind enough to send me a copy of a report she prepared on her time with the Foundation. This report appeared in the 4th Annual Crash Retrieval Conference Proceedings, 2006, Las Vegas, Nevada, pp 193-205.

There is much fascinating material in the report, but for the purposes of this blog post I will extract the relevant parts concerning UAP.”

UFO Report (Blog Post):
“1967: The Year UFOs Invaded Canada”

By Chris A. Rutkowski, 12 April 2017
(Ufology Research, Winnipeg, Canada)

Quote from the UFO report:
“I have gone through all available records for notes or listings of Canadian UFO cases from 1967.

That year is significant, in my opinion, because of the many unusual sightings and trace cases reported during that year. It was a remarkable time in Canadian history – a decidedly different kind of historical record than usually promoted.

And, since this is Canada’s 150th birthday, what a better time to look back on a remarkable period in our history.

And wonder...

30 June 1967 18:00 –
Thompson, Manitoba
Beeping heard. Whirlwind. Silent metallic box rotates in the air. Girl levitated.
A woman was walking through her house around six o'clock in the evening in Thompson, Manitoba when she heard an odd beeping sound. It was repeated at regular intervals of about one second, and she wondered what was causing it. She looked out her kitchen window, and saw dirt and loose pieces of paper flying in a large circle around her house. Outside, she found her husband, who had just come home, and five children staring up into the sky. A young boy was holding her eight-year-old daughter down on the ground. Up in the sky a rectangular object hung in the air, slowly rotating counter-clockwise and showing alternating silver and black sides. It was black on its lower surface, and made no noise. The object began moving off at an angle, stopped and hovered, then continued towards the southeast. Until this time the circle of dirt and dust had persisted, but it now died down. The whirlwind was confined to the area immediately around their house and did not affect any other houses on the street. When the object moved away, the dirt fell to the ground. Going to the children, the woman found they were calming down except her daughter, who seemed dazed. The boy explained that the five of them had been playing in the yard when the object first appeared overhead. As they watched, her daughter had been levitated into the air, apparently caused by the UFO in the sky. By the time the other children had come to her aid she was about one meter off the ground and her clothes had edged up her body. Her daughter said she did not remember anything from the time she felt the wind until the time she recovered after being dragged back to the ground.

UFO TV News Report:
“Records show thousands of
UFO sightings in Manitoba”

Published: 28 October 2015
(CTV News, Toronto, Canada)

Source: CTV News (YouTube channel)

The TV news report has an interview with Chris A. Rutkowski.

The UFO author/researcher mentions a 1792 Manitoba UFO incident and a 30 June 1967 (6:00 p.m.) Thompson, Manitoba, case.

The whole transcript of the report on the 1967 case:
Rutkowski: “As they were playing, this wind came up – and this object appeared in the sky. And one of the girls who was closest to it, started to be sucked up into the sky by this … whatever it was.

And they [the other children] actually had to grab her legs and pull her back down to the ground to keep her from flying off and being abducted by a flying cube.”

CTV News: “The incident was witnessed by the girl’s father, the object by the mother. And neither one had any motive to lie about it.”

Rutkowski: “So – I would have to rank that fairly high up in the strange factor!”

My comment:
In my opinion – this 1967 UFO case is very solid.

I do not believe for one minute that several children and two parents perpetrated a UFO hoax to gain notoriety.

According to Rutkowski – the family wants to remain anonymous. This shows that the hoax theory is untenable.

We are then left with the undeniable fact that a girl was very nearly abducted by an unknown object.

Anyone who has watched a video report or heard a radio show that features researcher of missing persons David Paulides – knows that he often says “It is as if someone picked up the person from above.”

I am not trying to start a new conspiracy theory – but the 1967 Thompson case’s facts are undeniable.

Chris A. Rutkowski reports on the Thompson case in his UFO report entitled “1967: The Year UFOs Invaded Canada” (http://uforum.blogspot.com):
“Going to the children, the woman found they were calming down except her daughter, who seemed dazed.

By the time the other children had come to her aid she was about one meter off the ground and her clothes had edged up her body. Her daughter said she did not remember anything from the time she felt the wind until the time she recovered after being dragged back to the ground.”
