An alert CNN viewer managed to record footage of an unknown, oval shaped object, which flew far behind and above the balloon.

By enlarging the freeze-framed object one can see that it doesn’t resemble any airplane or helicopter.

New Zealand’s Air Force put A-4 Skyhawk airplane pilots on standby alert as a result of Quentin Fogarty’s UFO report, according to Associated Press.

Quote from the newspaper article:
“We now have recorded sightings by six pilots on three aircraft over 10 days and a host of radar sightings,” said a Wellington air traffic controller, who identified himself as A. Causer. “There is obviously some strange phenomenon and it needs to be investigated.”

Many UFO sceptics/debunkers came forward with the theory that the self-luminous, unknown objects were fishing trawlers. But Wellington Air Traffic Control Centre controllers saw on the radar scope that the unknown objects flew at the same altitude as the airplane. The Late U.S. President Gerald R. Ford & the UFO Issue

The U.S. politician who deserves most credit when it comes to the UFO issue is by far the late U.S. President Gerald R. Ford (Republican). While Gerald R. Ford was a Representative for Michigan and U.S. House of Representatives Republican Minority Leader he sent a letter (dated 28 March 1966) to the chairman and the ranking Republican members of both the House Armed Services Committee and House Science and Astronautics Committee, urging that one committee or the other investigate the subject of Unidentified Flying Objects. And the House Armed Services Committee (89th Congress, 2nd Session) held a Congressional Hearing on UFOs on 5 April 1966 as a result of Gerald R. Ford’s efforts.

Gerald R. Ford had become involved in the UFO issue because many residents in Michigan had sighted UFOs during the first months of 1966.

The Question of U.S. Government UFO Interest

The U.S. politician who deserves most credit when it comes to the UFO issue is former U.S. President Gerald R. Ford (Republican). In 1966, while Ford was a Representative for Michigan and U.S. House of Representatives Republican Minority Leader, he managed to get the House Armed Services Committee to hold a Congressional Hearing on UFOs on 5 April 1966.

So many top U.S. government politicians have had a great interest in the UFO phenomenon, but have ultimately failed to acquire classified U.S. government UFO evidence.

Then how interested are the main U.S. government departments/agencies (Department of Defense, Department of State, CIA, FBI, NSA and NRO) in the UFO phenomenon today? And do these departments/agencies still investigate UFO cases?

The U.S. Air Force and other U.S. government departments/agencies claim time and again that they haven’t investigated a single UFO case since 17 December 1969.

This issue is no longer being investigated by the Defense Department. As you may know, the United States Air Force began investigating UFOs in 1948 under a program called Project Sign. Only 701 reported sightings remain unexplained.

All documentation regarding the former Blue Book investigation was permanently transferred to the Military Reference Branch, National Archives and Records Administration, 8th and Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20408, and is available for public review. A list of private organizations interested in aerial phenomena can be found in Gale's Encyclopedia of Associations, available in the reference section of many libraries. NASA TV UFOs: 2 UFOs Filmed from the Space Shuttle

The UFO which can be seen 4 seconds into the video seems to be self-luminous, oval or disk shaped and very large. A smaller UFO which flies away from the Earth can be seen 27 seconds into the video.

UFO TV News Magazine Report:
Chile’s Military Releases UFO Video Footage
(Cuarto Milenio, Cuatro)

A Spanish TV show that presents UFO videos which have been released by the Chilean Military has caused a stir on the Web in recent days; but the Cuarto Milenio TV show presented "OVNIs en Chile" already in 2007.

Some people have questioned the credibility of these UFO videos, but Cuarto Milenio is a serious TV show. And the guest on the show is Juan Ignacio Lorenzo Torres (himself a UFO witness), who’s a former Spanish Air Force Commander. Therefore, it’s highly unlikely that Cuatro, the TV channel, would have presented UFO videos which aren’t 100% authenticated by the Chilean Military:

The UFO radar cases involve various countries’ Military and/or Aviation (Government) authorities. Therefore, governments in many countries have proof of unidentified flying objects flying in their respective airspace.

NASA TV UFOs: NASA UFOs fly-by Hubble Telescope, Early December 1993

In this video one can see several unknown objects which fly very close to the Hubble Space Telescope (HST).

What’s remarkable is that the NASA officials apparently aren’t concerned about the objects at all. One would expect that if these objects were dangerous pieces of Space debris that they then at least would mention the objects.

Just check what Hubble cost the U.S. taxpayers!!

The most interesting unknown object is seen at 2:23 minutes into the video. An object suddenly appears near the astronaut and flies to the left before it accelerates away:

NASA TV UFOs:
UFO over Houston, Texas Seen from Space

This NASA UFO footage must rank among the best ever.

The video seems to show a disk shaped UFO with a dome, which fly in a circular path. At one point the UFO tilts so that the UFO is seen from the side.

And when the UFO turns to the left and accelerates 58 seconds into the video, it seems that the sunlight reflects off the object's right side.

The footage comes from an unknown Space Shuttle mission.

The unknown object enters the top centre of the screen in the first second of the video:

Several other unknown objects are also seen in the video.

NASA TV UFOs: Mir Films UFO & the Space Shuttle

In this UFO footage one can clearly see that the Russian Space Station Mir’s camera films a UFO before it zooms out to film the Shuttle.

It seems highly unlikely that NASA and the Russian Federal Space Agency, Roscosmos, would decide to meet in Space close to a large piece of Space debris. Therefore, it’s more than probable that the filmed unknown object flew towards the Shuttle and Mir before it followed their path.

The unknown object seems to be self-luminous and oval or disk shaped.

This unknown NASA mission likely involves a docking between the Shuttle and Mir.

Commanding General of the French Air Force
Says UFOs Are Real

French Air Force General Guillaume Jean Max Chassin (best known as Lionel Max) was Commanding General of the French Air Force, Air Defence Coordinator of NATO Allied Forces and president of GEPA (Group for the Study of Aerial Phenomena) (1964-1970).

The Haroldo Westendorff UFO Case,
Pelotas, Brazil, 5 October 1996, 10:15 a.m.

Businessman Haroldo Westendorff encountered a very large
UFO while he flew his Tupi airplane over Saragonha Island on
5 October 1996, at 10:15 a.m.

Westendorff contacted Infraero, a Brazilian Government corporation, during the flight to ask if the UFO could be sighted. An Infraero official reported back to Westendorff that he and two other officials saw a triangular shaped UFO with rounded edges.

The pilot also reported that the large unknown object ejected a smaller UFO, which flew away at an unbelievable speed.

The Brazilian Aeronautic Ministry (Ministerio da Aeronautica) conducted a secret investigation into the case, according to the Wikipedia article.

This is a very interesting UFO case because of the detailed observation of the UFO by the pilot, the number of witnesses who corroborated the sighting and the Brazilian Government’s investigation into the case:
