“A Gulf Breeze resident reported to the Sentinel this week that he and two other motorists watched a UFO descend into the trees in the Naval Live Oaks East of Gulf Breeze on the evening of Wednesday, November 15th [1989].
The witness said he was driving West on Highway 98 near the new park about 9:00 p.m. when he saw big beige cigar shaped object with lights on both ends and a light on top in the center settling down into the trees between him and the Sound. The whole craft just glowed in the dark, said the witness.
It was probably 20 to 40 feet long and made no noise, according to the witness. We watched it for 5 or 6 seconds. Then we looked at each other and just shrugged our shoulders, said the witness, referring to himself and the other driver.”
