June 10, 1954
Estacado, Texas”

The whole UFO case report:
Brad Sparks:
June 10, 1954; Estacado, Texas (BBU 3042)
9:09 p.m. USAF pilot Capt. Bill McDonald, in flight, saw a white light descend at 45° from great altitude, pass under his aircraft, make two 360° turns and blink out. (Berliner)

Fran Ridge:
This was a CIRVIS report and listed as an UNKNOWN by Project Blue Book (BBU 3042). After we found the three documents in the Blue Book files I was able to find a few more details. There were actually two pilots which improves the rating somewhat. The other one was Capt. Howard Hendrix. The aircraft (not given in the report) was on a heading of 270 degrees when the white light came from very high altitude at 45-degrees going west to east and passed under the plane and then proceeded to almost touched the ground. The speed was estimated at 500 to 600 knots, then slowed down and made the two 360 degree turns before blinking out. Time in sight was probably more than 30 seconds but the maneuvers preclude any type of meteor or aircraft.”

No radar return of the unknown object was registered. And no EMI was registered.

NICAP.org presents U.S. government (U.S. Air Force) documents that pertain to the UFO case.

Estacado is located in Crosby and Lubbock Counties, North West Texas.
