UFO News Article:
“No easy explanation for lights seen Tuesday night”

26 July 1991
(Kingman Daily Miner, Arizona)

The lights were seen (from 9:00 p.m. until after 10:00 p.m.) near the Hualapai Mountains, Arizona on 23 July 1991.

Most of the witnesses heard no noise.

Quote from the article:
“Kingman resident Larry, a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, said he was sitting outside watching the night sky as he does most every night.

‘Everyday they refuel over Kingman, the Air Force does,’ he said.

‘We figured it was just them refueling, but then they (the lights) went back and forth across the sky, and jets just don’t do that.’

‘Besides there was no noise. I was in the Air Force and I can hear jet noise real easy,’ he said.

A spokesman for Fort Huachuca, an Army base near Tucson, said there was no Army activity in this area Tuesday night, ‘not as far as I know of.’

An Air Force spokesman from Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas was more direct.

‘We don’t do UFO’s,’ he said.

‘We don’t fly down there anyway. (But) as far as we know we didn’t have anything down there Tuesday.’
