The police officers Scott McElroy and Kevin Plendl sighted a very large, bright UFO over Waunakee, Wisconsin on 14 July 1987, at 1:56 a.m., the Milwaukee Sentinel reports:

The UFO flashed colours of red and blue, according to the police officers.
