“Kenneth Pingle, a commercial pilot with more than 5,000 flying hours to his credit, and a student, Marvin Colyer, reported sighting an object on April 12 about 10:30 p.m. which is similar to the one photographed.
Mr. Pingle said he was about to land his single-engine plane at the Farmington Airport when he and his student first saw the strange light off the left wing tip.”
