UFO Article (Blog):
“UAP Task Force:
The Pentagon Responds to Questions”

By Roger Glassel, 2 September 2020
(Blue Blurry Lines, U.S.A.)

Quote from the article:
“In a previous email sent to me back in May, 2020, the Pentagon stated that there was already a interagency team/task force under the cognizance of the OUSD(I) that was analyzing sighting reports, and as most of the reports were from Navy pilots, the Navy did much of the effort. In Pentagon's recent press release it is stated that the UAPTF, established on August 4, 2020, under the oversight of the OUSD(I) and lead by the Navy. This contributed to some confusion, and I contacted Susan Gough and Joseph Gradisher to comment on the contradiction.”

My comment:
“On 4 August 2020, Deputy Secretary of Defense David L. Norquist approved the establishment of an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force (UAPTF),” according to a 14 August 2020 U.S. Department of Defense news release article.

The whole UFO case report:
Fran Ridge:
Feb. 2, 1955; Miramar NAS, Calif. (BBU 3416)
11:50 a.m. USN Cdr. J. L. Ingersoll was driving his vehicle and was observing two Navy FJ3 aircraft in a landing pattern. The trailing FJ3 appeared to have only one rear wheel extended. Sensing an emergency he continued to watch and was able to see that all landing gear were actually down, but he also noticed an object somewhat below and aft that caught his attention. His first thought was that it was a canopy that had been ejected. The [object] was falling, and its motion seemed erratic, however it descended at a steady rate. He described it as an as off-white in color but with a highly polished surface that was definitely reflecting sunlight. His best guess was that this object was at 10-20,000 feet at first. The object came to a complete stop for about 5 to 10 seconds after dropping 3-5000 feet, then suddenly changed from white to a reddish brown and instantly accelerated at tremendous speed, estimated at 1,000-1,500  mph on a heading of 170 degrees. Object left a short brown vapor trail. The witness believes the object was not less than 25-35 feet in diameter and could have been as [large] as 100'. [Brad Sparks: The total duration is found from the estimated descent rate, thus a minimum of about 15 to 27 seconds including the 5-10 secs hovering]. (Berliner)”

U.S. Air Force) documents that pertain to the UFO case.

Military pilot flying in B-25 a/c as instructor, turned to student & first saw object which he described as large (120-130feet across) metallic, disc shape, looked like two pie tins placed together at their rims. During time of sighting, object changed its position to both face and observer’s a/c with both its edge forward, and w/its [circular] surface exposed to view. Object paralleled aircraft and disappeared after approximately 7 minutes.”

UFO News Article:
“SPINNING IN SKY –
Merseyside Men Saw Strange Object”

26 August 1955
(Liverpool Echo, UK)

Source: ufonewspaper.blogspot.com

The whole article:
“A flying object spun through the air along the Mersey last night [25 August 1955], according to two people in different parts of the city. It was huge and cylindrical, strangely phosphorescent, and hovered for fully five minutes over the Pierhead.

Peter Wilson, 17-years-old builder, of 200 Queen’s Drive, Liverpool 14, was walking with his girl friend near the Clubmoor Cinema when he saw the saucer. ‘I was scared stiff,’ he told the Echo. ‘My girl friend was so startled she ran home.’

He thought the object was about 15 yards in diameter and was spinning 700 feet above the ground. ‘It seemed to be looking at something,’ he commented. At 10.45 p.m. it raced away in the direction of the Pierhead.

Meanwhile, when he was walking home, Mr. Eilton Fishgold, 4b Woolton Road, Birkenhead, said he saw a saucer hovering over the Pierhead at 11 p.m. ‘I was scared stiff. At first I couldn’t believe my eyes but it was there—a great big glowing thing spinning round all the time,’ he said this afternoon.”

“Sutton (Kelly/Hopkinsville) Encounter
Aug. 21-22, 1955
Hopkinsville, Kentucky”

(NICAP.org)

The whole UFO case report:
Brad Sparks:
Aug. 21, 1955; Kelly, 7 miles N of Hopkinsville, Kentucky (BBU)
7, 8-11 p.m., 2:30-4:45 a.m. At about 7 p.m. Billy Ray Taylor went into the backyard of the Sutton farmhouse and saw a bright object from the SW [or actually about SSW about 210° azimuth from the direction of Fort Campbell U.S. Army base] then pass over and descend into a gully about 500 [300-600?] ft N of the farmhouse and about 35-40 ft lower elevation. Mrs. Glennie Lankford and 6 other adults [most Sutton family], plus 3 children (Charlton, Lonnie and Mary Lankford), saw two or more 3 ft tall gremlin-like creatures float down from trees and approach the house from the dark, which were shot at by rifle and shotgun fire without effect. At about 11 p.m. the entire group fled in terror in their two cars and drove at high speed into Hopkinsville to report the incident to the Police Dept. State police officer leaving the Shady Oaks restaurant 3 miles N of Hopkinsville in a car to respond to the call heard several meteor-like objects streaking over him sounding like artillery shells, and was able to see 2 in a series looking like meteors from the SW [or actually about S, from about 190° azimuth, headed towards Kelly from the direction of Fort Campbell and the TOP SECRET Armed Forces Special Weapons Project Site C, Clarksville Base, 36.665° N, 87.487° W, National Stockpile Site for nuclear weapons storage apparently recently including multi-megaton yield H bombs]. City, county, state and military police and reporters drove out to the Sutton farm to investigate from around 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. UFO entities returned at about 2:30 a.m. and were again shot at without effect, finally disappearing at about 4:45 a.m. (Davis-Bloecher 1978; Hynek UFO Rpt pp. 212-6; Vallée Magonia 372; FUFOR Index)”
