30th Air Division’s Official History Excerpts:
“30th Air Division UFO Reports”

(30th Air Division, U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.)

Source: PROJECT 1947

Quote from the UFO report:
“The 30th Air Division, active from 1949 until 1968, was originally based at Selfridge Air Force Base, Michigan.  The station then moved to Willow Run Airport (later Willow Run Air Force Station), Michigan, on 7 April, 1952, before transferring to Truax Field, Wisconsin.  The Division was finally declared inactive at Sioux City Municipal Airport, Iowa, on 18 September, 1968.

Assigned to the Air Defense Command (ADC) for most of its existence, the 30th’s initial mission was the equipping, administering, training, and provisioning of operationally ready forces to the appropriate commanders for the air defense of upper Great Lakes area of the United States. Their Area of Operation included maintaining air defenses above the closely guarded AEC nuclear facilities at the Oak Ridge plant, Tennessee.

The following UFO reports are excerpted from the 30th Air Division’s Official History between 1950 and 1952.”

UFO Book Quote:
“The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects”

By Edward J. Ruppelt, Head of Project Blue Book (1952-1953)

Source: NICAP.org

In Chapter 9 (The New Project Grudge) Ruppelt writes, “UFO’s were seen more frequently around areas vital to the defense of the United States. The Los Alamos-Albuquerque area, Oak Ridge, and White Sands Proving Ground rated high. Port areas, Strategic Air Command bases, and industrial areas ranked next.”

U.S. Government UFO Document Excerpt:
“CIA’s Role in the Study of UFOs, 1947-90”

(Central Intelligence AgencyWashington, D.C.)

UFO comments by H. Marshall Chadwell, Assistant Director of OSI (CIA):
“H. Marshall Chadwell, Assistant Director of OSI, added that he considered the problem of such importance ‘that it should be brought to the attention of the National Security Council, in order that a communitywide coordinated effort towards its solution may be initiated.’ (22)

Chadwell briefed DCI Smith on the subject of UFOs in December 1952. He urged action because he was convinced that ‘something was going on that must have immediate attention’ and that ‘sightings of unexplained objects at great altitudes and traveling at high speeds in the vicinity of major US defense installations are of such nature that they are not attributable to natural phenomena or known types of aerial vehicles.’ He drafted a memorandum from the DCI to the National Security Council (NSC) and a proposed NSC Directive establishing the investigation of UFOs as a priority project throughout the intelligence and the defense research and development community. (23) Chadwell also urged Smith to establish an external research project of top-level scientists to study the problem of UFOs. (24) After this briefing, Smith directed DDI Amory to prepare a NSC Intelligence Directive (NSCID) for submission to the NSC on the need to continue the investigation of UFOs and to coordinate such investigations with the Air Force. (25)”

Quote from the Wikipedia article:
“Malmstrom Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base and census-designated place (CDP) in Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana, United States. It was named in honor of World War II POW Colonel Einar Axel Malmstrom. It is the home of the 341st Missile Wing (341 MW) of the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). As a census-designated place, it had a population of 3,472 at the 2010 census.[1]

Malmstrom AFB is one of three US Air Force Bases that maintains and operates the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. The 341st Missile Wing reports directly to Twentieth Air Force at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. It is part of Global Strike Command headquartered at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.[2]”

Quote from the Wikipedia article:
“The LGM-30 Minuteman is a U.S. land-based intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), in service with the Air Force Global Strike Command. As of 2016, the LGM-30G Minuteman III version[a] is the only land-based ICBM in service in the United States.

Peaking at 1,000 missiles in the 1970s, the current U.S. force consists of 450 Minuteman-III missiles[3] in missile silos around Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Minot AFB, North Dakota; and F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming. By February 2018 this will be reduced to 400 armed missiles, with 50 unarmed missiles in reserve, and four non-deployed test launchers to comply with the New START treaty.[4] The Air Force plans to keep the missile in service until at least 2030.[5][6] It is one component of the U.S. nuclear triad—the other two parts of the triad being the Trident submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM), and nuclear weapons carried by long-range strategic bombers.”

UFO Video Interview:
“Are UFOs Real?
Listen to These Montana Sheriffs!”

5 September 2016
(Missoulian, Missoula, Montana)

Dr. Richard O’Connor, M.D., and Joan Bird, Ph.D., present an interview with the sheriffs Keith Wolverton and Pete Howard.

Wolverton is co-author of the book, Mystery Stalks the Prairie (together with Roberta Donovan).

YouTube video (source: Richard O’Connor (YouTube channel)): “Are UFOs Real? Listen to These Montana Sheriffs!”

Video text:
“This interview with Montana sheriffs Keith Wolverton and Pete Howard took place on August 3, 2016. We hope the information conveyed in this video will inspire others to realize that the UFOs being seen in our skies are real, and they merit our curiosity and our attention. The importance of their interactions with our nation’s nuclear weapons cannot be overstated. If you have additional information concerning UFOs and nuclear weapons, please contact Mr. Robert Hastings (ufohastings@aol.com).

If you have additional information about the events described in this video, or other UFO or cattle mutilation events, please contact Dr. Richard O'Connor (rkojaml@gmail.com).

We encourage the American Veterinary Medical Association to ‘get real’ about the scientific investigation of cattle (and other) mutilation events. To date, their treatment of this phenomenon has been sub-standard for a professional organization dedicated to the health care of animals.

Our most sincere thanks to Montana sheriffs Pete Howard and Keith Wolverton for their participation in this interview.

Sincerely,
Dr. Richard O'Connor, M.D.
Dr. Joan Bird, PhD”

“The UFO Cover-Up”

Text by Google Books:
“Authors Lawrence Fawcett and Barry J. Greenwood reveal in this fascinating, thought-provoking book, based on the government’s own research and internal files, what they have learned about: UFO’s as a threat to national security. UFO sightings at military bases in the United States, North Africa, and the Middle East. The cover-up role of the FBI and the CIA. The presidents, legislators, astronauts, military leaders, and international scientific authorities who are on record as in favor of renewed investigation of UFO’s.”

UFO News Article:
“U.F.O. FILES: THE UNTOLD STORY”

14 October 1979
(The New York Times, New York City, New York)

This is an article regarding a U.S. Department of Defense document called “Subject: Suspicious Unknown Air Activity” (classification: CONFIDENTIAL, date: 11 November 1975) and, in addition, discussion on the U.S. government’s involvement in the UFO subject.

The mentioned U.S. Department of Defense document deals with the late 1975 UFO activity over the following military bases: Loring AFB, Maine; Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Minot AFB, North Dakota and Canadian Forces Station, Falconbridge, Ontario, Canada.

I also reported on this news article on 22 December 2011.

The book, The UFO Cover-Up (Fawcett, Greenwood) presents evidence (Page 6) that proves that the National Military Command Center (in conjunction with the Air Force Global Weather Central (AFGWC)) investigated the 1975 Northern Tier (U.S.A. and Canada) UFO incidents. The NMCC sent a memorandum (dated 13 November 1975) to the AFGWC requesting temperature inversion data from sensors which were placed in the areas which had experienced UFO activity. A while later, the NMCC and AFGWC discussed arrangements for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to obtain the weather data, according to the book.

So the U.S. military, without a doubt, investigates certain UFO incidents.

The National Military Command Center is maintained by the Department of the Air Force.

“The National Military Command Center (NMCC)[1] is a Pentagon command and communications center for the National Command Authority (i.e., the President of the United States and the United States Secretary of Defense). Maintained by the Department of the Air Force as the ‘DoD Executive Agent’ for NMCC logistical, budgetary, facility and systems support;[2] the NMCC operators are in the Joint Staff’s J-3 (Operations) Directorate.[citation needed] ‘The NMCC is responsible for generating Emergency Action Messages (EAMs) to launch control centers, nuclear submarines, recon aircraft and battlefield commanders.’[1]”

“Item 2.94: FOIA Request to DOD’s National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (re Wikileaks’s Leakage of a UFO-related Cable from State Dept.)”

23 January 2011
(Larry W. Bryant’s UFOview, Newport News, Virginia)

The U.S. Department of State document (dated 9 November 2005) read as follows:
“It is critical all embassy staff understand that they are not to discuss under any circumstance concerns DOD [U. S. Department of Defense] has with UFOs entering orbit, once again the seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated.”

The document was apparently sent to a diplomat that worked at the U.S. embassy in Kiev, Ukraine.
