Duran, who lives near Weston, Colorado, experienced a cattle mutilation on his ranch on 8 March 2009 (the mutilation probably occurred on 6 March, according to Duran). He also experienced cattle mutilations in 1995 and 2000.

Moulton Howe also informs about other Southern Colorado cattle mutilations that occurred in 2009.
