U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker Airplane 
Encounters Large UFO, Alaska, 30 January 1987

Two and a half months after the JAL Flight 1628’s UFOs encounter (the previous post), a similar incident occurred over Alaska. A U.S. Air Force Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker flew inbound from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska to Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. At 20,000 feet the airplane crew sighted a very large disk shaped UFO that was similar to the one encountered by the JAL Flight 1628. The UFO moved to within 13 metres (40 feet) of the KC-135.

And as can be determined by the U.S. Air Force Pilot’s question 5:29 minutes into the video, it's apparent that he has been briefed about the JAL Flight 1628’s UFO encounter.

The answer by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) official was also very interesting. He said, “It’s very rare seeing the lights (UFOs) up there”. He thereby admitted that UFOs were seen from time to time, albeit rarely!

And the silly notion that the U.S. government (here the FAA) is not investigating UFO sightings or is not interested in UFOs, can once and for all be ruled out by listening to the message the U.S. Air Force Captain received from the FAA (8:17 minutes into the video). The FAA message to the U.S. Air Force Captain said, “Call the local FAA office in Anchorage after you have landed at Eielson Air Force Base”. Then the Captain asked, “That’s concerning the object we were looking at?” “Affirmative”, answered the Eielson Air Force Base official.

So anyone who wants to define the UFO phenomenon as being a myth must first find plausible explanations for several thousand cases that involve UFO sightings, films and photographs made by highly credible, top government officials from around the world. And then you have the UFO radar data.

Less than 24 hours later (31 January 1987), the Alaska Airlines Flight 53 encountered several very large disk shaped UFOs that trailed them. The UFOs eventually flew away from the airplane, moving about a mile a second!

The Japan Airlines (JAL) Cargo Jet UFOs Encounter, North East Alaska, 17 November 1986, 5:11 p.m.

JAL Flight 1628 encountered one very large, disk shaped UFO and two small, rectangular shaped UFOs over Alaska, on this flight from Paris to Tokyo. Captain Kenju (or Kenji) Terauchi described the large UFO as being twice as large as an aircraft carrier.

In this case, we see that a U.S. government official again has brought forth solid, official UFO evidence. The man who must be thanked for that is John Callahan, who was then the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Division Chief of the Office of Accident, Investigation and Prevention.

John Callahan also relates (1:27 minutes into the below interview video) that JAL Captain Kenju Terauchi talked to a U.S. Air Force official on an aircraft that also picked up the UFO on radar during the duration of this JAL UFOs encounter. Later in the same video Callahan tells us that the FAA Administrator Admiral Donald D. Engen had set up a briefing and told Callahan to bring all the evidence he had. There Callahan met with three officials from the CIA, three from the FBI and three from President Ronald Reagan’s Scientific Study Team. And all of them were excited, according to Callahan!

Once again, we see that the U.S. Air Force (Military) and the U.S. Intelligence community are involved in a solid, bona fide UFO case.

The UFO incident occurred on 17 November 1986, at 5:19 p.m. (18 November, at 2:19 UTC), according to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) document (files.afu.se).

The U.S. Book, “The Fire Officer’s Guide to Disaster Control” has UFO Chapter

It’s well known that the U.S. Congress, NASA, United States Armed Forces, CIA, FBI, NSA, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Police Departments (including Sheriff’s Departments) have been involved in the UFO phenomenon in the U.S. throughout the years. But in the 1990s it came as a surprise to most people that the United States Fire Administration (USFA) also takes UFOs seriously.

It was two USFA officials, William M. Kramer and Charles W. Bahme who wrote the guide, which was published in 1992.

Proof of U.S. Air Force UFO Investigation, November 1971

Whenever (after December 1969) anyone has asked the U.S.
Air Force if it investigates UFO cases, the person has been
told that the U.S. Air Force stopped investigating UFO cases
after 17 December 1969 as a result of the Condon Report. This
UFO study determined that UFOs offer no credible threat to
U.S. national security and there is no evidence that UFOs
originate from another planet in another solar system.

So, what do we find two years later, in November 1971?

We find that the U.S. Air Force investigates a UFO case!

In the March 1972 edition of Skylook, which was the Midwest UFO Network’s monthly magazine, we learn that the Air Force investigated the Paul Doss UFO sighting/photographs case.

Paul Doss was a MUFON State-Section Director (Indiana). On 9 May 1971 he had visited the Vermillion River Observatory, south of Union Corner, Illinois. While he was there he saw and photographed a huge, cone-shaped UFO that flew right over him.

On 24 November 1971 Paul Doss was interviewed by U.S. Air Force officials at the Chanute Field in Rantoul, Illinois. The UFO photographs were also delivered to the U.S. Air Force officials.

The end of the article says:
“And, as Mr. Andrus (Walter H. Andrus, Jr. was MUFON’s Director) pointed out, in a letter accompanying this report, very significant is the fact that our Government IS still interested in UFOs – and is quietly investigating – despite the Condon Report which apparently was intended to laugh off the whole subject of “flying saucers” and to convince the public of the Government’s total lack of interest and cessation of all investigation.”

NASA TV UFOs: 2 UFOs Filmed during
Space Shuttle Landing, Unknown Date

The UFOs can be seen 5 (large UFO) and 8 (UFO sphere) seconds into the video. At the start of the video one can also see the large UFO in the upper, central part of the screen. If one watches this UFO, one can see that it moves slowly to the left.

10 seconds into the video one can also see a self-luminous UFO sphere that hovers close to a Spacewalking NASA astronaut.

I don’t know what STS mission the above landing footage comes from, but it’s possible that it’s from the STS-112 mission
(7 October – 18 October 2002).

The UFO was photographed purely by chance and was not discovered until the photograph was developed.

Judging from the original photo (before it was manipulated) – it’s obvious that the unknown object is a flying craft of some sort.

So why has the photo been manipulated (see the below photos)? And who has given the order to manipulate it?

The Martin Company defaced this photo twice, according to several U.S. UFO researchers.

NICAP's Photographic Adviser Ralph Rankow, a New York photographer, investigated the image in 1964, and wrote in an article: “No one actually reported seeing with their own eye the saucer-like object in the upper right portion of the picture. Even so, the object evoked such curiosity that another flight was reportedly made over the same area to look for ground reflection that may have caused it – although I understand none were observed.

A close scrutiny of the B57 photo shows the trees, bushes and houses all casting long shadows, but the object throws no shadow on the ground whatsoever. Moreover, (and this point is very important), the dark parts of the object are much too strong to be so far away. As the trees, bushes and houses get farther away, the haze cuts down their intensity and contrast. And the wooded area in the distance directly behind the object is fuzzy and weak by comparison with the strong highlights and shadows of the UFO itself.

In my analysis report to NICAP, I also pointed out that the object obviously had dimension. Its pattern of light and shadow is consistent with the rest of the picture, with the sun low and coming from the left. The object is also symmetrically shaped and contains all tones of gray, from white to black.”

This UFO case proves what important and outstanding work the top UFO researchers (here NICAP’s adviser Ralph Rankow) were/are doing.

There is some confusion (among U.S. UFO researchers) over whether this photograph was taken over Maryland or over the Edwards Air Force Base in California. But judging by the landscape, it seems that the photo was taken over Maryland. The photo was taken circa 1954 and not in 1957, as mentioned in several articles.

The UFO was observed by 160 witnesses.

Comment by Peruvian Air Force colonel Jose Raffo Moloche, Director of Aerial and Space Concerns: “There exists no aircraft on the Earth that can replicate the flight manoeuvres of this unknown object. It’s very hard to understand how the unknown object can remain airborne for more than two hours, when we think about Earthly aircraft."

4 UFO Spheres Filmed over Bruce Springsteen Concert, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 4 October 2008, Daytime

These unknown self-luminous spheres were filmed and photographed by numerous witnesses, who attended the Bruce Springsteen concert. A hoax is therefore out of the question.

This video was sent in to the WPVI-TV (ABC Channel 6) TV station by Jessica Sechrist, a Philadelphia resident.

The concert was held in the heart of the city, near the Ben Franklin Parkway.

With this Google Earth image of these “things/buildings”, which seem fairly out of place in rural Romania (near Timisoara), UFO researchers and sceptics have an excellent opportunity to investigate a case, which certainly has real evidence (unless Google Earth has started to perpetrate UFO hoaxes just for the fun of it).

And compare the size of the "things" with the size of the conventional houses on the properties!

By using the Google Earth ruler, one find that the "things" have a diameter of 20 metres! The "things" are rather large.

What about locating the property owners and ask them if they own a round building with small windows? Maybe RUFON (http://www.rufon.org/) could help interested UFO researchers?

This story should be of some interest to a newspaper or two! Either it will be just a fun-story about UFO buildings or it will be a somewhat larger story.

NASA Tracked UFO during the NASA Gemini 5 Mission, 24 August 1965
The NASA Control Center in Houston, Texas contacted the Gemini 5 crew and told them that NASA tracked a UFO on radar, which paced the spacecraft across the entire US. NASA told the crew that the UFO was as large as their spacecraft.

I held open the possibility that this object could be a helicopter, after having seen this footage for the first time. But after studying the footage and freeze-frame, I have come to the conclusion that this object is not a helicopter. Therefore, I agree with the video source that this is an unknown object.

As anyone knows, you don’t need to have done a lot of research on NASA to know that NASA has catalogued every object they have lost during space missions. The Russians and Chinese have done the same.

This Imperial Iranian Air Force F-4E Phantom II fighter jets versus UFOs dogfight, which occurred over Tehran, Iran, is a very interesting case, because U.S. UFO researchers have managed to unearth a lot of bona fide UFO evidence from both the Iranian and U.S. governments.

Iranian Air Force General Parviz Jafari, Ret. was the pilot of the second fighter jet sent up, and his jet's weapons system was also apparently jammed by the large UFO.

Two UK Military Gazelle Helicopters and Small UFO

This is the famous video which was recorded in Alton Barnes, UK in July 1994, where crop circle researchers from many countries were refused access to a crop circle by two UK Military helicopters. Later into the video one sees why the UK Military tried to stop the researchers from reaching the crop circle – when one helicopter can be seen hovering over a small UFO sphere!

According to UK crop circle researcher Colin Andrews, who relates this story in the video, small balls of light have been seen near crop circles on many occasions.

The Swedish Ministry of Defence’s UFO Office
at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI)

A segment of the UFO documentary, “UFOs, Lügen & der Kalte Krieg” (“UFOs, Lies & the Cold War”) (Germany), is a report about the UFO Office at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI). This agency has an ongoing UFO research collaboration with Clas Svahn, chairman of the Swedish UFO organisation, UFO-Sverige (Sweden). This is an excellent and revealing UFO documentary. It’s one of the best ever!

It was “Mac” Brazel who found the crashed UFO (flying disk) on his ranch on 7 July 1947.

“Marit Semeleng from Valdres, Norway, experienced something strange on a berry picking trip together with her husband in the autumn of 1983. She saw and photographed a bin-like object in the sky before it suddenly disappeared after only 5-6 seconds.

A flying ‘trash bin’?

13 years ago, Marit Semeleng, who was then 66 years old, saw a strange phenomenon. Together with her husband, she was on a berry picking trip in the Valdres Mountains. She had just taken some photos with a camera (Kodak 224 with fixed optics) she had brought with her on their trip, when she suddenly saw a glare over their heads. The object was as bright as the sun, and she reacted almost on reflex and took a photograph, before the object disappeared for good. It all happened so fast that her husband didn’t see anything.

The result of her fast reaction can be seen in the photo. The object in the photograph is hard to make sense of, perhaps, but the fact that she saw this object and then photographed it, is a strong argument for that this photo shows something quite extraordinary. It is natural to compare the photographed object with an old trash bin. In addition, one can see two strong light sources on the front of the object.

The negative disappeared at the Norwegian MoD

Some years after the experience, she sent the negative of the photograph to an official at the Fagernes Police Office, who in turn sent it to an official at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Defence’s Defence Intelligence Service. The latter person had previously been a police officer and was a friend of the officials at the Fagernes Police Office.

The negative disappeared at the Ministry of Defence and has not yet been delivered back to Marit Semeleng (as of 1996). She received a letter from the MoD, where she was told that the object, which is shown in the photo, is a damage on the film.

But then why not return the negative to the owner? Marit Semeleng is after all the rightful owner of the photo and she had seen the object she had photographed.

UFO-Norge is at the moment trying to locate the negative and we will write more about this story in number 4.

Mysterious tracks

Marit Semeleng stood in the woods, with a strange feeling of having witnessed something unexplainable. She had seen something highly luminous, silent and very fast-flying. The colour was intensely white. Marit Semeleng doesn’t know of anyone else, who has witnessed the same as she did.

Someone discovered strange vehicle tracks in the area, where the photo was taken, even though it’s only possible to get there by walking. The vehicle tracks were found on stone surface in the area.”

My comment: As seen in the Espevær, Norway, UFO case (the MoD investigated the case) and in this UFO photograph/witness case, one can clearly see that the Royal Norwegian MoD has an interest in the UFO phenomenon and take the subject seriously.

NOTE: An object which was similar to the object photographed by Marit Semeleng – was allegedly seen in Maine, U.S.A., in 1982.
