SUBJ: INCIDENT REPORT: UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS
1. UNIDENTIFIABLE FLYING OBJECTS 1/4 MILE EAST OF CEI
POWER PLANT.
2. AT 2035 [4 March
1988] LCL THIS STATION RCVD A CALL FROM [Name
deleted] RPTNG A LARGE OBJECT HOVERING OVER THE LAKE AND APPARENTLY ON A SLOW
DECENT. THE OBJECT HAD A WHITE LIGHT AND WAS APPROX. 1/4 MILE UP. [Deleted] WAS
UNABLE TO DETERMINE HOW FAR OUT IT WAS. THIS UNIT SENT 2 CREWMEMBERS TO
INVESTIGATE. BEFORE THEY ARRIVED O/S, WE RCVD 2 MORE CALLS RPTNG THAT THE
OBJECT HAD APPARENTLY DISPERSED 3-5 SMALLER FLYING OBJECTS THAT WERE ZIPPING
AROUND RATHER QUICKLY. THESE OBJECTS HAD RED, GREEN, WHITE AND YELLOW LIGHTS ON
THEM THAT STROBED INTERMITTENTLY. THEY ALSO HAD THE ABILITY TO STOP AND HOVER
IN MID-FLIGHT. WHEN MOBILE 02 GO O/S, THEY
RPTD THE SAME ACTIVITY. THEY WATCHED THE OBJECTS FOR APPROX. 1 HOUR BEFORE
RPTNG THAT THE LARGE OBJECT WAS ALMOST ON THE ICE. THEY RPTD THAT THE ICE WAS
CRACKING AND MOVING ABNORMAL AMOUNTS AS THE OBJECT CAME CLOSER TO IT. THE ICE
WAS RUMBLING AND THE OBJECT LIT MULTI-COLOR LIGHTS AT EACH END AS IT APPARENTLY
LANDED. THE LIGHTS ON IT WENT OUT MOMENTARILY AND THEN CAME ON AGAIN. THEY WENT
OUT AGAIN AND THE RUMBLING STOPPED AND THE ICE STOPPED MOVING. THE SMALLER
OBJECTS BEGAN HOVERING IN THE AREA WHERE THE LARGE OBJECT LANDED AND AFTER A
FEW MINUTES THEY BEGAN FLYING AROUND AGAIN. MOBILE 02 RPTD THAT THEY APPEARED
TO BE SCOUTING THE AREA. MOBILE 02 RPTD THAT 1 OBJECT WAS MOVING TOWARD THEM AT
A HIGH SPEED AND LOW TO THE ICE. MOBILE 02 BACKED DOWN THE HILL THEY HAD BEEN
ON AND WHEN THEY WENT BACK TO THE HILL, THE OBJECT WAS GONE. THEY RPTD THAT THE
OBJECTS COULD NOT BE SEEN IF THEY TURNED OFF THERE LIGHTS. ONE OF THE SMALL
OBJECTS TURNED ON A SPOTLIGHT WHERE THE LARGE OBJECT HAD BEEN BUT MOBILE 02 COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING, AND THEN THE OBJECT
SEEMED TO DISAPPEAR. ANOTHER OBJECT APPROACHED MOBILE
02 APPROX. 500 YDS .
OFFSHORE ABOUT 20 FT .
ABOVE THE ICE, AND IT BEGAN MOVING CLOSER AS MOBILE 02 BEGAN FLASHING ITS
HEADLIGHTS, THEN IT MOVED OFF TO THE WEST.
3. THE CREWMEMBERS WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY ANY OF THE
OBJECTS USING BINOCULARS AND AFTER CONTACTING LOCAL POLICE AND AIRPORTS, THIS
UNIT WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE OBJECTS, AND RECALLED MOBILE

“Fran Ridge:
March 4, 1988; Eastlake ,
Ohio
8:35 p.m. local. This is a very interesting close
encounter and one of FUFOR’s top cases. And, this one may have a nuclear
connection. A huge, gunmetal gray, football-shaped object that was rocking back
and forth was first observed by five people. Then the object began moving;
swinging one end toward the shore and descending. The witnesses became
frightened, ran back to their car and fled. When they got home, the object was
still visible from a window that faced the lake. The object moved out over the
ice and continued to descend, with red and blue lights now flashing in sequence
along its lower edge. At one point triangular objects darted around the parent
craft, then headed east toward the Perry nuclear power plant. One witness
called the Eastlake
police to report a UFO, and was finally referred to the Coast Guard. Coast
Guard personnel saw the object and reported that it appeared to be landing on
the lake.”

“The 1988 UFO Chronology”
Created: 15 July 2008
Updated: 9 December 2016
(NICAP.org)
Quote from the UFO report:
“This is currently a 9-page chronology of UFO
incidents and events for 1988. Our thanks for these chronologies must go to
Richard Hall (the original 1988 chronology from UFOE II), Dan Wilson (archive
researcher), and Jean Waskiewicz (online NICAP DBase [NSID]. You will note the
many foreign reports that we are now being able to access. Our special thanks
to Dan Wilson for getting those to us. As more come in, this page will be
updated. Previous chronologies (1947 to 1969) involved the expertise of two
other team members: William Wise (Project Blue Book Archive) and Brad Sparks
(Comprehensive Catalog of Project Blue Book Unknowns). Bob Gribble’s entries
are those filed with the National UFO Reporting
Center in Seattle , Washington ,
now operated by Peter Davenport. Trace cases are now being entered with the
help of Ted Phillips, Center for Physical Trace Research and retrofitted into
previous chronologies as time permits.

Time not given. Two police officers saw a very large
spinning oval-shaped UFO with flashing red and green lights around its
circumference in the Rosehill area of Willenhall ,
England . It
made no sound and flew off quickly toward the southeast. Two more cops saw the
same or a similar UFO from Walsall . Their
reports were sent to the Ministry of Defence. (Sources: Gary Heseltine, UFO

UFO Radio Interview:
“Randall Nickerson & Emily Trim,
Ariel Phenomenon”
Streamed live: 10 September 2019
(Podcast UFO, Sebago ,

Video text:
“Alejandro Rojas with Updates, and a very interesting
25th Anniversary show with Randall Nickerson and Ariel School Incident witness,
Emily Trim. We discuss this incident, the 10 year making of the completed and
to be released film, Ariel Phenomenon,
Emily discusses the encounter as well as the impact it has made on her
life and others, this is a show not to miss!
Synopsis: Ariel Phenomenon is about the human search
for acceptance and meaning. It's about struggling to live with a secret and its
devastating effects on your life. In this character-driven travelogue we follow
Emily, a Toronto
resident and one of sixty schoolchildren who, in 1994, were part of what has
become one of the most famous sightings of extraterrestrial beings and their
craft. In the first feature documentary produced on the incident, Emily returns
to the Ariel School
in Zimbabwe ,
the place that, at the age of nine, shattered her reality. We meet Tim Leach, a
respected BBC war reporter who reluctantly covered the event, ultimately
leading him to risk his career on the one story that haunted him the most. Also
jeopardizing his reputation is Pulitzer Prize-winning Harvard professor of
Psychiatry Dr. John Mack, whose validation of the authenticity of the witnesses
made this incident impossible to ignore. Twenty years later, Emily and her
classmates are searching for answers and the courage to speak their truth in
the face of a hostile world. Though this story was initially publicized
worldwide, it quickly disappeared from the public eye but not from the hearts
and minds of those who witnessed it. The event continues to have a deep impact
on many of their lives. Their courage, conviction and consistency, both then
and now, makes it difficult to dismiss this account as a child's imagination.
For twenty years many of the witnesses have felt that their voices have not
been heard. Until now.”
My comment: This UFO
incident involved sixty-two school children who sighted a landed UFO and two
beings at the Ariel School in Ruwa ,
Zimbabwe , on 16
September 1994.

The FLIR1 video was recorded on 14 November 2004 and the Gimbal and GoFast videos were recorded on 21 January 2015.
The November 2004 USS
Nimitz Carrier Strike Group 11 UFO incidents occurred about a hundred miles
south west of San Diego , California . The main UFO incident occurred
on
14 November 2004 (David Fravor and Jim Slaight).
14 November 2004 (David Fravor and Jim Slaight).
David Fravor, who chased the UFO (resembled a white
Tic Tac), was flying his F/A-18F
Super Hornet jet fighter.
It was not Fravor who
filmed the Tic Tac UFO. The UFO was filmed a while after Fravor’s incident.
Lieutenant Commander (later Commander) Jim Slaight was
the pilot of the second F/A-18F
Super Hornet jet fighter.
It was the USS Theodore

exercises approximately 100 miles east (JAX OPAREA), equidistant
between Jacksonville, Florida, and Savannah, Georgia, in January 2015.

“Ripples: 3 Somers Point 6th-Graders
Have Strange Encounter”
18 December 1981
(The Press of Atlantic
City , New Jersey )
Sources: U.F.O. Newsclipping Service,
The whole article (Page 1):
“Three Somers Point students can tell you what a UFO
looks like.
The
children, in fact, have become something of an authority on such phenomena – because
they saw one.
The three were privileged to observe – at close range
– what can be described as a strange airborne object.
It did indeed hover for a while over the car in which
they were riding.
And since all three agree to the letter on its dimensions
and appearance – ergo, there really are such things, right here in Somers
Point.
Bill Hawthorne, art instructor at the Jordan Road
School in Somers Point,
did some investigating into the incident. ‘One of the children told me what she
had seen,’ explained Hawthorne .
‘Then another in the group also began to tell me about the strange thing which
followed their car here on Bala
Drive ,’ said Hawthorne .
By this time he was interested enough to have all the students draw a picture
of the UFO which they had seen earlier this month. Amazingly, the pictures
matched. ‘They drew them separately, with no knowledge of what the other two
had drawn,’ said Hawthorne .
The sixth-graders who saw the object were: Jennifer
Montgomery, Michele Frisko and Patti Meyers.
A credible witness confirms the children’s stories.
Sixth grade teacher Lillian Frisko was the driver of the car which attracted
the brightly lit UFO. She was taking the girls to a gymnastics event, and
earthly traffic can be difficult enough without being distracted by an
unidentified flying object. Hawthorne ,
being thorough in his investigation, requested Frisko also to draw the object
she had seen – and it corresponded exactly with the others.
Summing up, the Somers Point UFO was disc-shaped in
appearance, and colored orange. The four agreed there was a row of lights
across the bottom – and it paused and moved at the same pace and in the same
direction as the car.
‘We checked around and there seems to be no scientific
explanation,’ said Hawthorne .
‘We’re surprised no one else seems to have seen it.”
My comment: The article does not mention when the UFO
incident occurred. It is possible the incident occurred in December 1981.

“Oakland policeman reports seeing UFO”
3 March 1982
(Central Maine Morning Sentinel, Waterville , Maine )
Sources: U.F.O.
Newsclipping Service, Plumerville , Arkansas and AFU.se
The whole article (Page 6):
“Anyone
unlucky enough to be up at 4:50 a.m. Monday (1 March 1982) when thermometers
around Oakland registered from 20 to 28 below zero had the opportunity for a
reward of a sort — an unidentified flying object.
Two Oakland men, one an Oakland
police officer who was on duty at the time, have reported seeing an unexplained
light in the sky between Messalonskee
Lake and the Waterville
Country Club.
Police
Sgt. Ralph Sabins reported the sighting in the police log as occurring at 4:50
a.m. March 1. His official description listed the light, which was brighter
than any of the stars or planets visible, as being over Messalonskee Lake
as sighted from the Country Club
Road .
He
reported it hovered there before heading toward the northeast (over his head)
without any discernible engine noise. When the light passed overhead, power
lines shook and fluttered even though there was no wind, Sabins wrote.
Dan
Savage, leaving his house to go get breakfast before opening his variety store
in Oakland
reported a similar experience. He said he was out in front of his house at 4:55
a.m. Monday when he noticed the bright light in the sky and assumed at first it
was an ‘airplane or something.’
When it
dropped down at a 45 degree angle and then went off straight, parallel to the
horizon, he knew it wasn’t a plane. ‘There was no noise, no sound,’ he said,
even though it was cold, clear and still that he could hear the frozen trees
popping and crackling along the edge of the lake.
He said he watched it head off over Libby Hill toward where Sabins had observed it from, and that he was mystified by the fact that it was so quiet. ‘I’ve seen falling stars,’ he said, adding that his certainly wasn’t one. He described it as being a lot brighter than any of the stars that morning.
Savage said that later in the day a woman was in his store, Dan’s Variety, when she asked if anyone had noticed anything strange at about
Savage
mentioned his sighting at a local breakfast restaurant immediately after he saw
it, and, after getting a few raised eyebrows from other patrons, he found that
Sabins, who was at the counter, had just seen the same thing.”

“Vermont’s encounter: UFO or aurora borealis?”
4 February 1982
(Boston Herald-American
(now Boston Herald), Massachusetts )
Sources: U.F.O.
Newsclipping Service, Plumerville , Arkansas and AFU.se
The whole article (Page 3):
“Were three bright yellow objects from outer space
holding maneuvers in the skies over this Connecticut River town (Windsor , Vermont )
Tuesday night (2 February 1982)? Or were the mysterious lights, spotted by two
policemen and a handful of people, just a part of the aurora borealis?
Police Sgt. Richard Polland, 47, a 14-year veteran of the
force, said he spotted a ‘bright, yellow cylindrical object’ in the sky over a
ridge near the river about 6:15 p.m.
‘I notified my office and learned one of my officers,
David LaPlante, was also watching it,’ Polland said.
‘We watched it for four-five minutes. Suddenly, it
shrunk down to the size of a star and sped away.’
A few minutes later Polland saw two bright lights over
the same area. ‘They were maneuvering around. One trailed the other, came up
beside it and then went under it.
‘Then one took off to the west and the other to the
south,’ Polland said.
A short time later the two ‘objects’ repeated the
process, he said.
Thomas Murphy also spotted the lights from his home
here. ‘It just glowed. I was amazed . . . I’ve never seen an airplane or a
helicopter move that fast. It was nothing like an airplane. I wanted so much
for it to come closer, I’ll be watching again tonight.’
National Weather Service officials in Burlington
said the aurora borealis, or northern lights, which have been bright all week,
might deserve credit for such a spectacular light show over Windsor .
But Polland, who served three years with the military
in Alaska ,
discounts that theory. ‘It was definitely not the aurora borealis. I’m very
familiar with that.’
Polland added: ‘I don’t know what it was. People a lot
smarter than I am are trying to figure it out.’
The local police received four or five calls from
residents who said they saw the mysterious lights in the sky and the officers
said they would report the sightings to the Center for UFO Studies in Evanston , Ill. ”
