UFO News Article:
“ ‘Flying Saucers’ Sighted In West, Probers Report”,
12 July 1957 (The Spartanburg Herald, South Carolina)
An official Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) report shows that 4 UFOs flew at 3,600 miles per hour over the Los Angeles, California, area shortly before midnight on 23 March 1957 , The Spartanburg Herald reports:

The report, obtained by NICAP, was signed by one of four CAA control tower operators.
It wasn’t disclosed which Los Angeles airport it was.

This is an article on UFO sightings that occurred in the skies over Wisconsin in early July 1947:

“Kenneth Jones, a flight instructor at Elkhorn Air Service, Elkhorn, Wis., and Capt. R. J. Southey, Burlington, were the pilots who reported seeing the fabulous platters in flight. Jones said he was flying at about 400 feet when he saw ‘something white’ traveling at terrific speed about 15 miles north of Elkhorn.”
Three students sighted 3 disk shaped UFOs which flew in a V-formation over Milton, Wisconsin on 7 July 1947.
Professor E. B. McGilvary at the University of Wisconsin-Madison also sighted a UFO on 7 July. The UFO was spherical shaped and self-luminous, according to McGilvary.
