The March 1994 (most of the UFO sightings were made on

UFO Article (Blog):
“NSA Fully Releases ‘UFOs and the IC
Blind Spot’ Doc Following FOIA Request”
10 August 2017
(The UFO Trail (ufotrail.blogspot.com))
Quote from the article:
“We first explored the doc, composed at some point
prior to 1979 by an unnamed author, here at The UFO Trail in the January blog
post, NSA UFO Docs. Two redacted sections of the seven-page file were noted.
The first section provided an example of how human response to perceived
unusual phenomena can be detrimental, particularly from a military perspective.
Images below show previously redacted pages on the left, with the now fully
disclosed pages on the right.
Offering an example of detrimental responses, the
author explained how a USAF technician ‘was engaged in first level traffic
analysis and intercept processing against Soviet Bloc countries,’ when one of
the countries began to report an unusual radar track. It was described as ‘a
high flying fast moving object with an erratic flight pattern.’ Although
identified as occasionally moving against the wind, the Bloc ‘began reporting
the object as a balloon.’
‘The next Bloc nation picked up the object and
continued the designation of balloon despite the erratic flight pattern, high
speed, and against the wind maneuvers,’ the author continued.
It was further explained that the airman noted a
variety of emotional reactions taking place among personnel within the American
processing facility. Such reactions included ‘everyone was more edgy and silent
than usual,’ as well as ‘aggressive and distracted responses’ to requests for
clarification of some of the data.”
My comment:
My comment:
The previously redacted part (the U.S. Air Force
intelligence traffic intercept) of the NSA UFO document is very interesting
(and revealing) on four counts.
1. The U.S.
Air Force intercepted two Soviet Bloc countries’ intelligence traffic and
surveilled how the Soviet Bloc countries’ military or intelligence (or both) communities
handled a UFO incident.
2. The psychological reaction of the U.S. Air Force
personnel shows that the people in the room were fully aware that the incident
was a bona fide UFO incident (not a balloon incident).
3. The NSA was previously unwilling to declassify the
portion of the document that deals with the U.S. Air Force’s surveillance of
the UFO incident.
4. This is without a doubt not the only UFO incident information
the U.S.
military intelligence community has picked up while intercepting another
country’s intelligence traffic.

Video text:
“Between 1982 and 1989, over 25,000 eyewitnesses saw a
very unusual boomerang or ‘V’ shaped craft flying silently over a four state
region which included New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
Individuals who saw the object included doctors, lawyers, teachers, firemen,
pilots, air traffic controllers, computer programmers, local law enforcement
and scientists. This special fully illustrated 90 minute presentation given by
Michael Schratt (military aerospace historian) sheds new light to this mystery
that continues to surround the Hudson Valley of New York and Connecticut to this day. This talk was taped
live on May 6, 2017 at the Danbury Library in Danbury , Connecticut .”

Washington Post Science Writer
Reveals Her Unfamiliarity with the Facts”
By Robert L. Hastings, 8 August 2017

Quote from the article:
“Regarding WAPO science writer Sarah Kaplan’s recent review of scientific commentary on the UFO phenomenon, she seems oblivious to a basic maxim: There is a distinct and fundamental difference between merely having an opinion, and having an informed opinion, on any given topic. This holds true for scientists and laypersons alike. Because very, very few scientists have actually studied the UFO phenomenon before holding forth, their pronouncements about it must be viewed for what they really are: Pontification with little or no data to support their dismissive assessments.”

“STRANGE OBJECT SEEN IN SKY OVER PIRIE –
CONSTABLE REPORTS GLOWING
TOP-LIKE PHENOMENON”
18 October 1954
(The Recorder, Port Pirie , Australia )
Source: Trove, National Library of Australia , Canberra ,
ACT,
The whole article:
“A strange glowing object, shaped like a top, was seen in the sky south-west by west from Pirie by Constable Bernard A. Egel, of Pirie, and other watchers on Saturday night (16 October 1954).
“A strange glowing object, shaped like a top, was seen in the sky south-west by west from Pirie by Constable Bernard A. Egel, of Pirie, and other watchers on Saturday night (16 October 1954).
The object, which made no sound, was observed by the
constable for about 15 mins. before it disappeared from sight, to be followed
by another glowing object for a brief period.
Constable Egel told ‘The Recorder’ yesterday that he
had been patroIIing his beat about 9.20 p.m. on Saturday when an agitated man
and a girl had told him they had seen a strange object in the sky. He had
immediately accompanied them to Memorial Park.
‘When I first saw the light it was hovering over Spencer Gulf , south-west by west of Pirie. It appeared to
be about 1,000 ft .
above the sea and about two to three miles out from Pirie. It changed color
from red to orange, then green and, finally white. The light was larger at the
top and tapered at the bottom, appearing in the shape of a top or an inverted
electric bulb,’ said Constable Egel.
Changed Color
‘After we had watched it for about five minutes, it
began to travel directly away from us, losing altitude. It moved about 10 miles and then stopped
and hovered in a small circle, moving slowly, and constantly chancing color.
‘After having hovered in that position for about
another five mins., it began to travel away again and continued out of sight. We
watched for a few minutes but saw nothing as the light was extremely dark and
the moon had not risen at that stage.
‘Following a brief interval either the same light or
another appeared low over the sea about 10 miles out. It appeared
to rise from the sea to a height of about 100 ft . and then travelled directly
away out of sight.
Iridescent Light
‘An iridescent light came from the object, which
changed color slowly. The changes of color were most definite. I had seen the
light for at least 15 mins., but the other persons had watched it for about 15
mins. before approaching me.
‘The man who reported the object to me said that it
had first appeared in the shape of a top with colored lights round the middle,’
added Constable Egel.
A party of motorists returning to Pirie, which
included Mr. C. P. Murn (editor of "The Recorder") also reported
having seen a strange red light in the sky shortly after sunset on Saturday.
The light had also appeared south-west by west of Pirie.
A strange light glowing in several changing colors was
seen about 8 o'clock last night high in the sky by Mr. Eric Sard, of Warnertown,
and several other persons. It disappeared after a few minutes.”
