UFO News Article: “Pokin Around: Springfield man says he was at White Sands Missile Range when he saw UFO in 1959”

My comment:

Captain Jack Hembree (U.S. Army) sighted a bright, globe-looking UFO on the morning of 17 February 1959 — several hours before a Redstone ballistic missile test launch.

Hambree saw three globes (at a distance of approximately 150 feet) which moved as if they were connected to each other. Each globe was about 30 feet in diameter. The globes moved over the other test launch sites before they quickly flew out of sight.

The sighting lasted 30 to 40 seconds.
