McCaslin was part of the B-52 bomber crew that sighted a UFO (radar/visual) over Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota on 
24 October 1968 (sometime after 3:00 a.m.).

Quote from the article:
“McCaslin never actually saw the UFO. His eyes were fixed on a radar-screen blip that was being recorded by onboard cameras.”

McCaslin was a Captain at the time of the UFO incident.
