UFO News Article:
“Texans Ready to Host UFOs”

19 October 1973
(The Desert Sun, Palm Springs, California)

Quote from the article:
“Not all of the sightings reported Thursday (18 October 1973) night were explained so easily.

Outside Minneapolis-St. Paul, Patrolman Bradford Roy said he saw a ‘flying pancake triangle’ with red and white lights that darted through the sky in silence.

More than 50 residents in the Florida panhandle reported UFOs, some flying in formation. Clinton Chiles and Toby Howell of Mary Esther, Fla., told police they were trout fishing when they spotted an object 1,000 feet above the water. ‘It lit up the entire area and made no noise and slowly moved out to sea,’ they said.

Hundreds of Ohio residents flooded police and sheriffs' switchboards with frightened calls of very bright while lights moving through the sky.”

UFO News Article:
“Our Own UFO!”

7 August 1965
(The Desert Sun, Palm Springs, California)

Source: cdnc.ucr.edu

The whole article:
“A strange flying object was viewed here Thursday (5 August 1965) night by a sharp - eyed operator of a Palm Springs Aerial Tramway cable car during the 8:30 p.m. run to the mountain station.

‘I always before thought there was a logical reason for these things,’ said Wilson Booth, who reported the incident almost hesitantly.

‘People will probably think I’m one of those nuts, but I even viewed it through my binoculars,’ he added.

He reports that he was at Tower 2, at about the 5.000-foot level, when the object came in from the southeast. As it approached, he could see that it was V-shaped, with a red and white blinking light on either side. It was an open V, he said, moving with the point forward, with the red and white lights on either end of the V’s tails.

The entire object glowed with a vivid white light as if moved closer, then veered off slightly before it would have crossed over the cables.

Booth said he doubted his own eyes at first, then, when the object reappeared over the crest of the hill, he used his binoculars for a closer inspection.

Booth was able to draw a clear sketch of what he and two passengers on the cable car saw. With foresight he took their names as witnesses. They are Tom Pike and Gordon Sparks, both of Lewisville, Ohio.

Booth said he could hear no sound from the object and he could not determine what its motive power might be.”

UFO TV News Reports:
“The Bendigo UFO Wave 1983 -
collection of news reports”

Source: QUFOSR (YouTube channel)

Video text:
“This video is a collection of news reports on the little known Bendigo UFO Wave, occuring over Victoria Australia in 1983. Find more information and a link to the official government file on this incident below. The link will also have higher quality photos and sketches shared during the news reports taken direct from the file.

During the evenings of late May 1983 many people, estimated to be in the hundreds, witnessed unusual lights and unconventional craft in the skies over Bendigo and the surrounding regions. According to meteorology reports the weather during these evenings were considered ‘still, cool and clear’. Initial reports, direct to the RAAF, and to other agencies such as radio stations and newspapers, were admitted to be highly consistent. The RAAF also stated that air traffic activity in Bendigo during the time of the sightings was limited. The little traffic that was in the area moved conventionally whereas the mysterious lights appeared to remain stationary, usually for extended periods. It was officially announced that no spurious or unaccounted for radar ‘paints’ from the Bendigo area were recorded during the Bendigo UFO wave.”

UFO News Article:
“Mysterious Airship.
EAST ANGLIAN EXCITEMENT.”

15 May 1909
(Cardiff Times and South Wales Weekly News, UK)

Source: newspapers.library.wales

The whole article:
“Residents of some parts of East Anglia are keenly excited just now about a mysterious airship which has been seen hovering over the district in the early hours of the morning, with a searchlight. Nobody appears to be able to throw any light on the ownership of the vessel, or the purpose of these after-midnight ascents, and, of course—in the absence of definite information—people are saying it must be a party of Germans spying out the land.

The object was first seen a few weeks ago by a Peterborough policeman on duty late at night, and also by several railwaymen who were on night duty at March. A few days later it was seen at Ely.

All are agreed that the object is oblong in shape, and it is alleged to carry a searchlight. Several of those who saw it declare that it made a noise like a motor-car, and travelled at a great pace.

During the movement of troops in Gyppeswyk (Gippeswyk) Park, Ipswich, the other night, it was seen frequently. Only one person, a farmer, has seen this mysterious object in the sky during the daytime. The first reports were received with incredulity, but the fact that the object has been seen in several parts of North Cambs and the surrounding district at different times has encouraged the belief that some mysterious airship is patrolling East Anglia during the hours between sunset and sunrise. Considerable excitement prevails, and a keen watch is being kept.”

“Taped Interview, Officer Bertrand, Exeter Case
Sept. 3, 1965”

Source: NICAP.org

Text by NICAP.org:
“September 3, 1965; Exeter, New Hampshire (BBU 9890)
1:30 A.M. While hitchhiking home in the early hours, teenager Norman Muscarello was terrorized by a large object with four or five bright red lights that approached from nearby woods and hovered over a field near the road. Horses spooked. He went to the Exeter police station, pale and shaken, and reported the incident. Officer Eugene Bertrand drove him back to the field to investigate. About an hour earlier Bertrand had come across a woman parked on Route 101. ‘She was real upset,’ he said, ‘and told me that a red glowing object had chased her.’ When he was called to investigate Muscarello’s report, the earlier incident caused him to pay attention. At first Bertrand and Muscarello saw nothing, but when Bertrand flashed a light around the field, a huge dark object with red flashing lights rose up over the trees, moving back and forth, tilted, and came toward them.”

UFO Case Directory (TRACECAT):
“ ‘Ghost Rocket’ Crashes Into Lake
July 18, 1946
Southeastern Norway”

(NICAP.org)

The whole UFO case report:
Ole Jonny Braenne:
July 18, 1946; Southeastern Norway
Between 12 and 12:30 p.m. A ‘ghost rocket’ crashed into Lake Mjøsa. Several witnesses observed a V1-like object coming in low from the west at about 50 meters height. The witnesses first heard a strong whistling sound, not exactly like that associated with known aircraft. The object flew so low as to cause the trees to sway. It impacted in Lake Mjøsa about two kilometers from the western shore and seven kilometers from Minnesund, where the depth is 300-400 meters. It was cigar-shaped, about 2.5 meters long, with about one meter-long wings placed one meter behind the nose. The front and back parts were shining like metal, but the middle section including the wings was dark. The wings seemed to flap a little, as if made of fabric. No fire, exhaust, or light was seen. When it hit the lake, the water splashed several meters into the air. There was no explosion. The sky was clear, and the water quickly calmed. Some witnesses thought they saw two objects, one in front of the other. The Norwegian Defense High Command conducted an investigation according to press reports of the period, but the documents have never been recovered. There is a distinct possibility that all documents on the 1946 ghost-rocket wave have been destroyed. If so, this is a disaster for UFO historians, who will be left with only newspaper accounts as source material.”

UFO News Article:
“THREE UFO’s SIGHTED HERE”

29 September 1966
(The Commercial Record, Saugatuck, Michigan)

Source: digmichnews.cmich.edu

The whole article (Front Page/Page 3):
“Three unidentified flying objects were sighted here at approximately 9:15 PM Sunday (25 September 1966) evening by Raymond Croasdale, Dr. William Schock and Saugatuck Police Chief Al Wood.

The original sighting was made by Raymond Croasdale of 700 Manchester Drive when he stepped outside his house for a breath of air. He witnessed two objects – one to the Northwest over the Lake – the second was to the northeast over land. Croasdale’s first reaction to the sighting was to call his neighbor, Dr. William Schock, who summoned Saugatuck Police Chief Al Wood to verify the sighting. Croasdale, who watched the objects through 6x30 binoculars (Wood watched with his 10x50’s) said both objects had very vivid red and green lights that seemed to revolve. Both objects changed direction and altitude at extremely high rates of speed, but confined their movements to the general area. Croasdale said he guessed the objects would have been about 10 - 20 miles away.

After they had been watching the lights for about 30 minutes, Croasdale said a third very bright light suddenly seemed to fly away from the object that was over land. Croasdale said it was almost as though the red and green light had launched the bright light. The bright light then took up a south-southeasterly direction and came almost directly over Croasdale’s home at what he estimated to be about 8000 feet altitude. Croasdale guessed the speed to be 2000 mph or more. The light emitted no noise and as it passed overhead, Croasdale said that he could see that it was about the size of a 707 jet. One light burned in front of the indefinable shape and it seemed to have a pulsating ring of lights in the rear. Croasdale said the speed also seemed to pulsate in relation to the light. He said it seemed to emit a pink halo exhaust after each pulsation.

Croasdale said the visibility was perfect and that he has been around a number of airplanes. These objects, he said, behaved in a manner completely different from any thing he’s ever witnessed. ‘One thing is for sure,’ Croasdale said. ‘We weren’t seeing things.’ ”

“SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE and scientists investigated in Johannesburg Thursday (16 September 1965) a report that a flying saucer-type object had landed on a main highway near Pretoria, the country’s administrative capital.

Two patrolling police officrs reported seeing the flaming ‘saucer,’ about 30 feet in diameter, shortly after midnight. One of them, Koos de Klerk, said the shiny copper-colored object resembled a giant spinning top.
