“A 16th century flying saucer or unidentified flying object was reported in a manuscript found in La Spezia’s public library. The chronicler, Antonio Cesena, wrote in 1558 that peasants in two separate areas saw from time to time ‘a strange disc, changing from yellow to red, and with red fireballs shining beneath it.’ ”
