Quote
from the paper:
“The analysis of close
encounter cases of the second kind (CE-IIs), i.e., UFO cases involving reported
physical effects, offer the potential of the richest rewards to scientific
inquiry. Such cases offer the greatest promise for instrumental, quantitative
data (Hynek, 1972). Even in cases where there are no lasting physical effects,
it may still be possible to sort out physically meaningful information from the
qualitative and general testimony of the UFO witnesses (McCampbell, 1976b).”
