Quote from the article:
“Thomas Manke, 20, of Owosso described what he
saw as ‘like a giant spotlight’ about 400 feet above the train.
Conductor Dennis McKanich peered
at the lights from the rear of the train but ‘the lights were so bright he
couldn’t look at it,’ Manke said.
He said, after hovering for a
while, the object headed northeast at a high rate of speed.
The policemen, Prestion McBride
and Charles Lain, told their commanding officer they saw ‘two white flashing lights
at first and then a third bright light followed by a flashing red light.’
They said the object they saw
sped towards the southwest.”
