UFO News Article:
“Fap desmiente avistamiento de ovnis”
(“Fap denies UFO sighting”)

19 June 2019
(El Tiempo, Piura, Peru)

The Peruvian Air Force corrects an 18 June 2019 CNN Español news article. The Air Force denies that the two unknown objects which manoeuvred near Jorge Chávez International Airport on
27 February 2019 had been confirmed as being UFOs, El Tiempo reports.

Quote from the Peruvian Air Force’s Twitter statement on the case (translated by Google Translate):
“… what it (the Peruvian Air Force) asserted is the existence of reports that were presented to the Centre of Aerospace Interests (CINAE) so that the Department of Investigation of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (DIFAA) can perform the corresponding analysis and investigation.”

The Twitter statement is presented by El Tiempo.

This appears to be a very solid UFO case – if one takes into account all the evidences. The evidences that have surfaced are testimonies by the crews of two commercial airplanes (on the ground), a video of the unidentified flying objects and, on top of that – radar registration of them. As of yet the case has not been solved.

In 2013, DINAE (Dirección de Información e Intereses Aeroespaciales) (Directorate of Information and Aerospace Interests) , under the official sponsorship of CONIDA (Comisión Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Aeroespacial) (National Commission of Aerospace Investigation and Development) and the Peruvian Air Force (FAP), decided to relaunch and reactivate the office established in November 2001 under the name of Office of Investigation of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (Oficina de Investigación de Fenómenos Aéreos Anómalos) (OIFAA). The name of the reactivated department is Department of Investigation of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (Departamento de Investigación de Fenómenos Aéreos Anómalos) (DIFAA).

DINAE and DIFAA are under the authority of the Peruvian Air Force.
