The article reports on the 1980s Hudson Valley, New
York, UFO wave:
Quote from the article:
“It seems that thousands of people in the area have
reported seeing strange objects in the night sky. Usually described as V-shaped
and about the size of a football field, the colossal ‘Thing’ is said to be absolutely
noiseless and outlined in brilliant lights of white, green and amber.
(Eugene) Bauer (technician for a fiber optics firm) says
he saw the Thing one night in March 1983 as he and a friend were driving home
from a restaurant.
‘It floated above our car, no more than 150 feet up, standing
still,’ he said. ‘I don’t know what it was, but I know it didn’t come from this
Earth.’
Bauer was among a dozen supposed witnesses who
recounted their stories before an enthralled audience at the Aug. 25 ‘UFO
Conference,’ the agenda of which stretched a full 12 hours.
Dennis Sant, deputy clerk of Putnam County, N.Y., approached
the microphone to tell of having watched ‘it’ hover over Interstate Highway 84
one moonlit night.”
