The News and Courier reports on
the successful Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit William H. Spaulding (Director,
Ground Saucer Watch) and GSW brought against the Central Intelligence Agency:
Quote from the article:
“ ‘We have five ex-intelligence
officers who will testify to this coverup.’
Latest documents indicate that
UFOs flew over U.S.
nuclear installations of the Strategic Air Command on Nov. 7, 8 and 9, 1975,
Spaulding said. Radar tracked the objects, and one was described in a military
wire message as ‘a 100-foot-diameter sphere and appeared to have craters around
the outside,’ he said.
One base reported it was ‘buzzed
by a bright object the size of a car at an altitude of 1,000 to 2,000 feet .’
Each object eluded military
jets but the Air Force wrote off the incidents as unauthorized overflights by
unknown helicopters, Spaulding said, questioning whether helicopters could outrun supersonic fighters.”
