On New Year’s Eve, 1953, two Marine Corps Base Quantico (Virginia) sentries sighted a UFO that landed near Camp Barratt (24 kilometres (15 miles) from the main Quantico base), The Free Lance-Star reports:

This is an article regarding a mass UFO sighting that occurred over North-Eastern Maine on 16 November 1975:

The UFO was sighted by four Caribou police officers, one state Civil Defense officer, three Aroostook County deputy sheriffs, on duty personnel at Loring Air Force Base (Limestone), several police officers from communities of Limestone and Fort Fairfield and one civilian.

“An unidentified airman at the Strategic Air Command base in Limestone told Caribou police that an unidentified object had appeared briefly on a radar screen, but appeared to be across the border 15 miles away in Canada.”

The town of Caribou is situated 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) south-west of Loring Air Force Base.
Loring Air Force Base was closed as an active U.S. Air Force installation in 1994.

On 10 April 2012, at around 2:00 a.m., an unknown object was sighted over Litchfield, Connecticut by a civilian, the New Haven Register reports:
