Two brothers, Raymond and Rayme Ryan, sighted a self-luminous underwater object in the Pascagoula River, Pascagoula, Mississippi on 6 November 1973, according to the article:

The unknown object followed their fishing boat.

Oceana County Sheriff John Simmons experienced two UFO sightings in early October 1978, The Argus-Press reports:

“The department relayed the sheriff’s report to the Coast Guard at Ludington, which had confirmed four earlier UFO sightings, but station officials said they saw nothing Tuesday.

On July 28, the Coast Guard at Ludington reported seeing a UFO heading west across Lake Michigan. Officers at Ludington said seconds after the object vanished from their sight, the Coast Guard station at Sturgeon Bay, Wis., reported spotting a similar object.”
